i just killed 4 trilobites on my spino at the time i wrote the first post. got 11 black pearls from them.

Hmm, they don't drop those in vanilla...unless it's a stealth change in the recent patch. Using any mods?

no mods and only my server settings are harvessting speed and efficiency. so, a sneaky boost i think.

Oh yeah in vikings bay theres a ton of those scorps and trilliobites. I got 100's and I don't even have tek gear...

I have overloads of animals on ragnarok. And I have spent almost all my time in viking bay. I have yet to see a single trilobite. I was beginning to think they were left off the map.

you should fund some at the upmost norther land part in the middle of the map, where the sea and some boulders/smaller islands cerate some ponds. ther eI found quite some trilobites. But only got one black pearl. So the blakc pearls are REALLY rare from them.

The only time i even see trilobites is on my own server that has the seagulls disabled. Haven't seen them on live in months!

Its not the Trilobites, there are euryterids on the beach on ragnarok for some reason

Yes you can rarely obtain black pearl even from Trilobite. Higher chance within Ark Evolution+ event.

I have never heard of black pearls from trilobites. Are you on an unofficial server?

I plays singleplayer. I was able to get some black pearls from some of them with 2x harvesting (I "joined" to official Evolution Event). Once it was 2 pearls from L120 Trilobite.

Are you sure those are trilobites? Viking Bay is infested with waterscorps.

I've killed plenty of trilos and never seen a single black pearl from them. Normal white ones, yes, but not black. And I've never heard of anyone getting one from them until now. The official wiki doesn't include black pearls as one of their drops, so if this is a thing it must have been a very recent change.

If euryps spawn near the ocean surface on Ragnarok then I'd bet it's those that people are killing, not trilos.
