No Gigas On the Center Map?
So I've been playing on a non-dedicated server (or on single player when it's just me) with my friend and I've just hit level 96. So I thought we'd go giga hunting and after several hours of looking and wiping (destroying all wild dinos) the map twice we have yet to find any. So any advice on where to find them would be appreciated!

Edit: Forget to mention, after a couple hours of looking I limited my search to only Carnivore Island, Half Burnt Island, and the Northern Mountain.

Were you able to find one recently?

Have you adjusted any of the spawn ratios? I've heard a lot of people say that reducing the max number of dinos on the map can cause rare creatures like gigas and quetzals to stop spawning.

Also are you using any mods?

Beyond that, you can use a console command to see if there are any in the world. It won't tell you where they are, just if they exist, and how many. In single player, press tab twice to bring up the full screen console, then type:

getallstate Gigant_Character_BP_C

In the console window it'll output a number of lines, one for each giga it finds on the map. So if you get three entries, you'll know three are currently spawned somewhere, while if you get 0 you'll know they aren't appearing for some reason.

I don't think I've messed with the spawn ratios at all, I know I see an abundance of quetzals so I'm not sure if that's the issue. As for modding, yes I am but none of them seem to effect spawn rates but I'll double check.

As for that command, nothing showed up for gigas so clearly none are out there. Should I just increase the ratio?

I believe gigas have their own unique spawn points with no other dinos spawning from them, so upping the ratio probably wouldn't work I'm afraid. Also if no adjustments have been made to the spawns there should be no reason why they are not spawning, something must be blocking them somehow. I'd suggest double-checking your mods first, as you said, just to rule out any possibillity of issue there. Then if things still aren't fixed you can look into tweaking spawns.

Just looked some stuff up, none of my mods should cause any conflict with gigas spawning, how exactly would I tweak spawns?

Okay so I think I figured out the spawn thing but if I did it correctly I'm still not seeing any. I put this in Game.ini:

DinoSpawnWeightMultipliers=(DinoNameTag=Gigant,
SpawnWeightMultiplier=10.0,
OverrideSpawnLimitPercentage=true,
SpawnLimitPercentage=1.0)
