Best metal spots in Ragnarok?

up near the castle near viking bay- also over above the jungle near the torture den- also the snow near the ice cave entrance, and even inside ice cave, and redwoods :)

There's metal literally everywhere, and a cave that's filled with it

the problem is they are random and when you find a spot it usally has 4 to 5 nodes but this spot that i linked has around 15-20 nodes and there are 3 of them if you have control on it you can get 60 nodes and they respawn every 30 minutes so good way to waste 10 or 15 mins then doing something else then coming back for more metal

As said, just travel around and observe. Metal is randomly all over the place. I haven't found any real concentrated spots like the volcano used to be, but there is a lot of metal there. Much easier early game to get metal than it is on the other maps in my opinion. Late game it's not going to be much different, just a little more bouncing around.

I went to these spots today and didn't find any metal in any of the 3 spots shown, did ark delete the metal from those spots or is it maybe something to do with the server I'm playing on? (I know this discussion is from 6 years ago xd)

If you're playing single player you may have become the victim of the resource non-respawn bug. I cleaned out some of the heavy concentrations of metal on Fjordur and they never came back. From what I gather, you can't bring the nodes back and any that have not respawned before you quit are in danger of disappearing.

It's almost as if steam guidelines encourage it over starting a new thread.

If it's on topic and presenting new information/asking a question, then I personally feel it's much better than starting a new thread. Keeps the forum more neat and tidy, and also allows us to challenge older statements in threads which were either mistaken or where the situation has changed since that info was posted.

Not to mention, if newbies bump old threads they are hounded for doing so, yet if they make new threads they are hounded for not searching the forum for old threads about the matter. So they can't win either way, it seems.

But I'm not a Steam admin, so I can't make the rules. *shrug*

Also as a side note: Yes I do realise that some bumps are not related to the topic being discussed and are just spam, so I fully support those ones being locked.
