Definetly the best map ever made.
Oh my gosh LOL! My tribe and I are laughing our asses off right now at this map LMAO
Shigo Islands used to be my goto map for single player but havent revisited it for along time, enjoyed it but I've no idea how much it's changed since I played it (was pretty new at the time).
No experience of the other 2 so won't comment :)
Map I'm currently looking forward to being finished is Comoros, looks very nice, the landscape feels pretty natural and has managed to blend the 3 biomes together quite well although it's very clear (mostly by the huge WIP signs everywhere) that there is still a good amount of work to do, deffinately on my watch list though.
^ Next solo playthrough I do it's gonna be on this one. I've had a quick glance at it already and I'm pretty impressed. I can see why it won second place in the modding contest. It really has a very prehistoric feel, much more realistic than the Island, and some of it's biomes are very unusual and clever, for example the hot springs or the low fjords with lots of little islands. The underwater landscape hasn't been worked on much atm, and is largely flat and featurless, but the land is looking good. Perhaps a slightly low population of dinos though.

^ I've had a look around this one too, also looks pretty decent and I plan to try a full playthrough on it at some point. Again, it captures the atmosphere of the landscape very well...it really does feel like you're on the African serenghetti with the wide open plains and boabab trees. This map seems extremely dark at night, and underwater it's very difficult to see even during the daytime. Also I had some texture issues with some of the dinos when playing it. But still has potential.
I've tried quite a long stint on Shigo Islands too...it's a decent map, but imo not as good as the two above. The thing that I wasn't a fan of was the really straight, vertical cliffs all around the islands - made the whole thing feel very artificial and kinda broke the immersion some. Also the landscaping is quite uniform, with lots of very flat plains with the odd small dip in them, and not much else. It works, and it's alright...I plan to explore it fully at some point. But perhaps not the best one out there.
Not tried the other ones you mentioned so can't comment on them.
Also that dodo map is just epicly funny

I'm playing on a Ragnarok map right now actually. Unpopular opinion it seems, but I actually don't really like it. It doesn't seem like there are many really good base spots to live, there's lots of lumpy land... I don't know. Could be just me lol.
And, it's only halfway done, so you never know what could be past that world border!
I'll keep my eye on it though.
And while Ragnorok is shaping up to be good, when we tried it a couple of months ago my friend and I found there was only a really tiny section of it actually ready to play, most of it was devoid of dinos, trees and other resources. He has put some updates out since then, but personally I'd wait for a bit more completion before doing that one.
Open the unreal engine.
Create a perfectly flat collision plane.
Make it gray.
Add a spawn box.
Save and download.
Pros:
Excellent flat building sites - everywhere.
No glare, no lightshafts, no reflections, no terrain shadows - runs great at 60fps on all potatos!
No dinos getting stuck on trees or rocks.
No glitching under the terrain.
No griefers sneaking up behind with a club, you can see them coming all the way out at render distance.
No fog. No night (suck it Troodons). No leedsichthies or Eels (suck it water!)
The ATV works great !!!
Cons:
Can't think of any, except maybe eating disorder.
I made an edit in my original post, also someone else said Ragnarok and I stated why I don't like it.
