Player Stats Per level in Adv. Options
Im trying to change in my singleplayer world the amount of stats you get per level. I changed health to 2.5 So I would get 25 life per level up instead of 10, yet when I go into the game and level up health I still only get 10. Not sure what Im doing wrong.

Also on a side note, i did change max EXP to like 9,000,000 just to see if it would up the level cap, that didnt work either. Anyone have any ideas?

Where did you put them? Game.ini or GameUserSettings.ini.

And which folder?

Also copy and paste the text here so people can see and offer better advice.

I didnt place them anywhere. When you load up ark and go to host your own single player game they are just options now. After you hit Host, the option is on the left, in the advanced tab.

I've seen some people on here suggest that those options do not work yet, they've just been put in as placeholders for now. And it's even been said that the update to put them in has broken single player configs being read from the game.ini and gameusersettings.ini files as well.

I haven't tested this myself so can't say whether it's the case or not, but it's a possibillity...

Ah well that makes more sense. Im hoping they fix it quickly, I really would like the option to change the stats. Thanks

You need to put any changes to player stats under [/script/shootergame.shootergamemode] and not [ShooterGameMode_Options], like the game tries to do.

those options do work, they just dont change what you think. ie health slider doesnt give you more health per level but rather its a multiplier for how fast your health recovers.

what your looking for takes a lot of scripting (a line per level + a line for ep for each level)

edit: actually its a multiplier for how much hp you lose when hit i think, but its a multiplier not a 'per level' setting for certain

The .ini commands do work and do what the op wants, not what you said. I haven't checked he sliders out yet, so I am not certain if they do the same thing. The .ini settings give you x amount of points each time you level up. But it's not retroactive. It only applies to levels gained after the setting was changed.

This thread explains how to do it pretty well. Hopefully it will help the op.

Yeah I understand that. And AirCaptain the options have been changed. If you go into the game there are the systems your talking about, and there are new ones. Like max Exp, Stat per level, tamed and wild dino stat modifers, and a whole ton of other stuff.

Figure it out. Just go to the Game.Ini file and change the top line to
[/script/shootergame.shootergamemode]
They have something else up there that doesnt do anything
