Scorched Earth - water wells
Right... So I recently started on a Scorched Earth server, and I am running into an issue. I have been trying to 'stick' a water pipe on my water well to irrigate my crops. However I am not able to stick =ANY= kind of a water pipe to it. Has something changed and I missed it? Or is this something that is currently 'broken'?
Thnaks in advance for any help.

Not even the water input that starts the water source?

On officials you cant run irrigation from wells.

"However, on Official servers no structures, including pipes, may be built on or surrounding a Water Vein except the Water Well."

No... the Water intake pipe does not work. All I am getting are the 'ghost images' going to the -snap to- points, but they are red with the message; "Can't place -whatever- pipe; Can't place structure here"

I would check with the server admin but if they didn't change anything with the games no build rules on water wells then that would be why.

It is not possible to snap a pipe intake to the Water Well. To start an irrigation system from the well, you must use a irrigation pipe - straight, an irrigation pipe - vertical, or an irrigation pipe - inclined.

Okay well, no changes have been made according to the owner/admin. Thanks for the help. And I have tried all of the irrigation pipes vertical, streight, inclined, with no success.

TT - thanks for the idea. I litterally just tried to place a water resevoir on the the well, again to no avail.

Are you in a pve server? Its default to be a no-build zone in pve settings.

Ah... I bet that is it. Thak you all for helping to sort this out.

Just to add, if you end goal is to build an indy cooker and have it irrigated, your only option is to build irrigation to a body of water, which I find very frustrating and usually ugly as hell depending how far away your base is.

If you need a fix right now then water reservoirs work really well for irrigating plants and providing drinking water for you.

I find it disappointing that water wells are not more useful.
