Advanced Tools?

So being I am new to this and as I have yet to look up Tek gear, are Metal Pick and Ax it for tools? (not including colored varients like mastercraft and such). Is there better in Tek? If not then maybe make a 3rd tier with using metal and obsidian or polymer in the fab? Just spitballing here :)

Uh thats part of primitive plus. As for vanilla metal tools are it iirc. unless they plan on adding gas tools later on like a chainsaw or whatever.

Not yet, no. The DLC does have a chainsaw, which you can use without buying the map if someone gives it to you or you spawn it in. But no tek tools.

A tek drill and laser saw would be nice though... o.O

Your advanced tools after metal are in the form of dinos and other tames. Certain ones will give better yield of certain resources than metal tools and have other benefits like reduced weight for those materials.

Yea I didnt specify but I meant vanilla, no mods.

Heck yea! Would love to see that. 1 hit demolishes the nodes, and you get like 80 + per?

Well, with my laser drill I get the Jetsons floating mine cart that can handle .... 5 tons. It follows me and my tibe of dinos home. Yup!

Prim+ is actually an officially supported mod that prob will end up like the center. Downloadable and on official servers.

I mean.... you can demolish walls by running through them at light speed or punching them I think... sort of advanced when you think about it. ;)

No need to look far. Tek Pants allow you to move (a speed between walk and run) when encumbered for free. You need Element to do so, but it wont use it.

That is true once you get to a laser tool you should have tek stuff to enhance your stats.
