When I was using this before nerf I didn't feel like a noob.

So while the sickle is better DPS than the pike, the sword is definitely the better choice for damage, as it is considerably more powerful in both single attacks and DPS. In fact the sword does almost as much damage in a single hit as the sickle does DPS.
Also, interestingly, the hatchet is the same DPS as the pike, although shorter range.

put that asc. sword in the hand of a high lvl mantis and you can kill deathworms with it, add asc. saddle too and you can chainfarm horns with that mantis xD
But I feel something is wrong if a gardening tool like the sickle can do more dps then the pike which only purpose is combat.
