making sword
ok, I have metal ingots, have learned sword made smithy put inventory in smithy . clicked on weapons and all I get is two bars on the sides. what have I not done? VERY frustrating!!

Not sure quite what you mean by 'two bars on the sides'? Did you find the recipe in the smithy, click on it then click 'Craft Item' below the inventory pane?
