Unofficial server - get rid of Troodons...
I host my own Unofficial server and I'm wondering if there is a way to take Troodons out of the game on my server... despawn them all or something?

OH and after you make that change you need to destroy all wild dinos.

In Game.ini

Replace Troodon with Dodo.

NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Troodon_Character_BP_C",ToClassName="Dodo_Character_BP_C")

Make Troodon not spawn.

NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Troodon_Character_BP_C",ToClassName="")

Make sure you do a space like this " " instead of this "" if you do not want the Troodon to not spawn.

NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Troodon_Character_BP_C",ToClassName=" ")

I was haveing trouble with the dinos that I didn't want to spawn, and I had everything correct, but you have to put a space " " like that instead of "" just to let ya know or at least that worked for me.

you put it into your game.ini like every other such command.

Tho i dont understand why you want them gone,
they are not in any tactical locations,
once u get grapples they can no longer hunt you,
they just got a 50% agro range nerf
and if you have a mount of any type even a raptor then troodons become harmless.

Pegos should be removed tho can lose mastercraft items to them or even tek tier.

I'm sorry I'm new to this... I'm not exactly sure where to add this in my Game.ini file. Do I just add it anywhere I want? I'm interested in the ***NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Troodon_Character_BP_C",ToClassName=""*** command. I just want to make sure I do this right. Thanks.

D:\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
Game.ini

like this:

[/script/shootergame.shootergamemode]
NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Troodon_Character_BP_C",ToClassName=" ")

Then set game.ini to read only to prevent the game from changing it at any point.

Any new commands just paste under the [/script/shootergame.shootergamemode] part.

The above command has replaced all troodons with a null value thus the spawn is simplely gone.

I recommand doing it for pegos too they have no worth outside a pvp server.

Block their spawns.. although they are one of the few things (beyond high level carnivores and pego thieves) that even present a nuisance in most parts of the map. I'd be careful about blocking them completely.

Personaly i'd just move to an area where they dont spawn such as north east side between the 3 mountains i always set my bases up in that area as beavers, metal, jellys ect all nearby while no major threats.

Well sometimes a raptor might wander into the area and every couple dozen hours a trex.

You can't do that on an official server, so it's just meant for server owners or people that run local singleplayer servers.
