Which language uses "englado" for English? Anyways, to contribute to the discussion...
I've noticed dinosaurs disappearing as well. I've also read from various threads about the Disappearing Dino Bug where your tame disappears with no death message; they just vanish. Within the past 2 days, I've had 2 brontos disappear on me. My lv 150 plus bronto named Big Bertha was there early this morning (midnight Central Time) and by the time I relog in around 5 am (again, Central Time), she disappeared. This is completely unacceptable and needs to be fixed ASAP. I've read that this is an ongoing issue, going as far back as last year. Again, this is completely unacceptable.
I've read an account about a user losing his quetz during a server crash; no death warning. The quetz just disappeared while he was taming something.
I didn't want to post on any of the other threads as I fear I could be chastized for necroposting.
An alternative, if it hasn't disappeared and just migrated elsewhere, is to use the Pet Finder (if the mod is installed into the server you use).
Also, check the Tribe Manager and look in the battle log.

No way to find a lost dino apart from flying around and looking for it.

Later there will be Transponders you can craft and put on your dinos, without it it just works the same as IRL when your dog wanders away... even admins cannot help in this, there are no admins command for that.

There are mods like Pet Manager, which have build in dino finder, but if you are playing official and unmodded server, there will be no help.

If they're set to neutral and they fight while they're not following you, you'll have to go to where they were, look at them, and press T to make them follow you, Y to make them stop following you. When they're following you, even if they attack something and kill it, they will always return to you (if they don't get stuck.)

If they're on Neutral, they will defend themself and you and any other tamed dinosaurs you have. If it's just a Pter, it might have died trying to survive if you can't find it at all. If they are on Aggressive, they will attack everything they see, so returning to you will not be easy for them. Dinosaurs on Neutral might follow those that are Aggressive.

Put your dinos on passive to avoid that happening again.

Also, if you have an aggressive dinosaur you're having trouble chasing after, look at it and whistle Neutral ( - key ) or Passive ( ; key ) and it will stop attacking.

Yes, I get that englado means English, but in which language is that?
Also, I think the reason the Pteranodon was that high up in the sky was that it was harassed by a mob of Meganeura, and it finally won the fight. As a consequence, the bird ended up really high in the air.
Yes, I know that Pteranodon (and pterosaurs in general) are not birds. But, in the USAF, any aviation vehicle (aircraft) can be referred to as birds, so I'm using the military slang to describe all the aviation mounts in this game as birds.

Wow, losing a bronto should not even be possible. I mean, they're huge... What a bug. I lost a ptera once and didn't find her for days - she was about 3km from my base flying in mid air over the sea. Had to take another flyer to bring her back. Not sure why she was there.

I recently lost a jerboa when a scorpion attack rendered me unconscious, and I forgot she was on my shoulder and left her there when I came round. I just put floating names on, and flew around till I saw her. She was tiny and I managed to locate her pretty easily mounted on an Argent.

What an UNACCEPTABLE bug! With this kind of logic, I'm afraid of having one of my birds glitching out of existence while I'm aviating. I can imagine no one wants to fall from 9 kilometers in the air because their Pteranodon was glitched out of existence.

That pet finder hasn't been integrated is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Especially when you consider the issue with magically disappearing dinos has been around since very early on and the devs have done nothing about it. I remember a year and a half ago or something I landed a ptera next to our base, hopped off and looked over and it and one other that it was next to just disappeared. Gone forever and no death message.

Conclusion, pet finder should really be integrated by the devs.

If he's on follow he might TRY to fly back to you.

He will sit there and do nothing until you come back into range and then it should fly back to you. However as you get back into range all local dinos come out of stasis and so could attack and kill it. Also the local dinos were not in stasis when you died so if any carnivores are close then your ptera is likely to die.

If it hasn't died in the tribe log, try using another flyer to check way up in the sky above where you last saw it. A friend lost one of my argents for a few hours and I found it near the world ceiling fighting other argents.
