Release date?

Hey, I bought this game during this sale, 18euros for the whole package was quite the deal. Sadly didn't read much about the game and its performance is utter garbage, even on a powerful machine like mine.

Is there any release date for this game? It's been in EA for so long. Are the devs even working on optimizing their game?

Hate to be the guy, but ark runs fine on my system. I have a better GFX but worse CPU. Maybe play with the gfx settings abit? Not the texture ones, but shadow and two of the checkbox things below help alot.

why is ingame time related to performance? the performance IS bad but that's because it the game isn't finished yet. not even a gtx1080 can guarantee permanent 60fps on best settings currently. there are memory leaks in the game that drain even 32gb ram or more so you're forced to restart your computer sometimes and worse.

Because it's fun and it supports the development/developers.

I've more fps in the dlc map than the normal one.

Haven't tested it fully, won't be playing ark for a while as I'm having fun playing other games

To b fair, a lot of us with 1000s of hours think the performance sucks also. Not saying the game does, just performance in its current state.

I run this game fine on a 980 ti.

It is. Raw specs don't lie. I run better looking games at 60fps. Ark is unoptimised as all hell. I get a 20~30 fps boost on a few crowded areas in the new dlc map

Mmmm year and a half ea is not "too long " most AAA games spend 2-5 years in development and testing lol

Its not.... but performance in Ark varies hugely from pc to pc and server to server .... official to unofficial.

The 1.3hr guy could be running a potato on a low population private server.... or they could be on a good pc on a high population official.

Performance is so up and down.... but does it suck?

So its almost June now, when will this game come out? I also have the game as I got it from Humble Monthly but I refuse to play until its been Optimised and fully released.

Actually the BIG optimization push that it sounds like you are waiting for is scheduled for the next patch in 2 weeks. Just keep an eye out for it, I'm sure there will be many fixes/updates the following week of. And once that is over you should be able to login with some comfort.
