What is your favourite tame and why?

I want to know what everyone's best dino bro is and maybe try to convince me to make it my bro for a week. (not literally, but I'd love to try new dinos and have fun finding a use for them)

I personally like dimorphs the most because my flock of about 10 (with about 5 vultures mixed in on top of that) almost always ensures I'm not going to get killed by stuff if I'm riding a weaker mount. It's also fun to sic them on wild rexes and decimate the swamp spawns so I can do stuff like leech hunting without being mauled by snakes and kapros. They're cute, small, make cute noises, and come in pretty colours. They also aren't THAT hard to tame. The occasional alpha raptor is no match for the flock, especially as they deal from ~80-140 damage (depending on the individual dimorph, with my strongest one having about 440% melee). idk I just really love dimorphs, and if I'm trying a new mount that might not be able to defend itself yet, I always take my flock as back-up.

Argentavis and definitely dilophosaurus,they make really cute noises :D

Oh god do I know. Dilos do make cute sounds, but baby argies are so much cuter imo. Baby tames in general are super cute (have you seen baby Ovis yet? Your heart will melt!). It's the baby noises that slay me though.

I adore Oviraptors, but they're such a pain to tame in single player without absurd multipliers or really late-game dinos. They're so ugly-cute and they usually have nice color combinations.

Otherwise, it's a strong tie between Theriz and Tapejara. Theriz is a big fluffy friend, and while terrifying, is an asset in every save I play. Tapejara is difficult to tame because you have to sneak up on them, but they're gorgeous and they make cute noises, also very fun to fly around on.

Sounds cute as babies = quetz, pelagornis and jerboas.

My favourite mount is right now my lightning wyvern. For harvesters, it's the anky and the theri. Water mount might be my newly tamed plesio, because he's so FAST! love my little ichthy too for her speed.

When I played on SE, before we had any wyverns, I always brought my vulture pack with me as bodyguards.

Diplocaulus is a very cute dino imo. The noises it makes aren't particularly nice, but it's triangular face is funny to look at. And they're really, really useful for early-midgame water exploration...get a good crossbow to defend yourself and you can stay underwater harvesting for hours! They are difficult to find and tame though, since every time you see one it'll probably be getting munched on by a sarco or a kapro, and you have to rescue it.

I'm also a fan of the direwolf, as it's also cute, and so versitile. No saddle so you can ride it as soon as you tame it, good damage and speed, able to jump, and small enough to fit into caves so an excellent chitin/artifact farmer.

Therizino has grown on me a lot since they were released, for their power and harvesting abillity.

I also really love the spino. The way it runs is awesome, like a giant puppy wanting to play. And it's extremely powerful, able to out-DPS a rex. Not to mention it's good underwater too, which a rex certainly can't match.
