Confirmed Ovis Spawn Location - The Island

My friend and I just found an Ovis at around >35 Lat 15 Long<. unfortunately we killed it in our excitement and haste (He was riding a Wyvern moved to our server via Ark Transfer)

Will update this as we find more Ovis

I have two (or three as I have just gotten a little lamb that I'm feeding mejo berries right now) and I'll just copy my post from the official ARK forum:
"I found my ram at the border between the snow biome and Frozen Tooth (managed to save him from first a rex, then a saber) and the ewe was at Whitesky Peak (fleeing from a rex)"

Snow biome and its borders seems to be the safest bet, but they are rare and rather small (smaller than the deer), so they can be hard to spot + they die very easily.

Yeah I saw that post on the survivetheark forums.

just though I would post my findings here as a discussion so folk can spot it easily, and i'm giving approx map grid references for easier locating.

I found a male one too in the location described by TotallyUncoll. I found another one there wich was killed by sabers. This location is quite good.

I happened upon a max level one wandering along the north shore of the river that runs north of the redwood biome...round about 55, 35. My base is very close to there though, so I'm up and down that stretch of river very regularly, and I've only seen that single one. So while they can appear there, they are apparently an extremely rare spawn in that area.

We actually just cheated the system on our private server, and replaced pegomastax spawn with ovis (this still preserves the ovis rare spawn rate so weare not flooded with sheep) making them more common.
