Anyways, yes you can get in and out of the underworld with water creatures, although I'm not sure a mosa or leedy could fit through the passageways. And you may have to fight through a lot of piranahs and swimming cave creatures to do it. But there's an opening into the river between the middle and south jungle islands, close to the large ruin area.
Come to think of it, not sure a plessie could navigate the river to that hole either, but perhaps it could approach it from the west...
Really? I was under the impression that anything bigger than a plessie couldn't navigate the rivers between the jungle islands, and in one of those rivers is the only water entrance that I know of to the underworld (aside from the waterfalls which of course wouldn't work for swimmers). Good to know though, I'm doing another playthrough on the Center atm on my solo games, so I'll check it out sometime. Thanks for the info.
Oooooohhh I get you, sorry I thought you meant the underworld. In that case no, I'm afraid there's no way to swim in and out of there. Teleporters are the only way, as others have already said.
Halfway trough the first tunnel there's a sort of air bubble with a little piece of dry terrain with lots of metal, pearls and bugs. It's a good spot to build a base, as it's reeeeally difficult to find (often people don't know this spot) and can be reached only by swimming (but that means you can't live there if you'd like to have flyers).
Sorry for my pretty awful english but it's not my first language.
