How do you tame a giant bee?
So I was trying to tame a giant bee so I can get honey for luring other animals, but I found an issue when trying to tame one, so my way of trying to tame them is going on my spino ((because its my only land creature that won't die in the red woods)) going to the redwoods, shooting at a bee hive, killing them bees and then looking for the queen, but then after I kill the bees I realize that, the queen has already gone missing, and I know my spino didn't kill her because I waited a little bit just to see her fly off, so how can I destroy a beehive without the queen going missing?

((I've unsubscribed from this since you've all become kind of annoying and unhelpful at this point, so don't even bother posting anything))

You won't regret having them for a thousand other things. One of the most underrated critters in ARK. Even after all this time with Wildcard making every new release more OP than the last, dimorphs still rock.
They rock, but they're hard to find, because they're so easy to tame I'm looking for a nice beefy level 100 one, but they're so hard to find, the highest level one I saw was 33.
I've been running into the same problem. Try the swamp/redwood border, there are tons of them around there. Good place to clear them out then check the respawn.

As for beehives, I'm on singleplayer as well and I've spotted them in unusual spots outside the redwoods. One on a large rock closer to the red beacon, and another northwest of the swamp on a cliffside. Haven't tried to crack one open yet, but that's on the to-do list.

Actually the redwood swamp border is where I've been going.....which sucks because its stupidly dangerous there.

Practically any cliff will have a hive if you look for them.
Usually at least one on the side of weathertop.
Not true, I checked there and found nothing.
Then check the western cliff face of the islet just east of footpaw.

I also checked there and there was nothing, I checked all of footpaw and weathertop to find nothing.
Did you used the destroywilddinos to reset spawn points?

What!? of course not, mostly because there' this tapejara I want to get, along with a quetzal long in the future, so I won't be doing that soon, also my issue is NOT finding bee hives, its killing her drones without killing the queen.
Coincidentally, I used a spino to get mine. Bite the hive, then bite again to kill the drones before they get you. After a few bites, start backing off between each and watch the hives health carefully. With your last bite, when the hive breaks, back off a good 3 steps, kill the drones a good distance away from the queen, hop off, bug spray, feed her the flower, done.

Just a tip, for mid and end game you'll need to move, because at the south east is very good for the early then when you need oil, pearls and fur its just too time consuming go to NW to get these more easily to craft a scuba, fur armor and oil for gasoline.

I went to NW to get these and never comeback. Ive buily a base close to snow biome there and only from time to time I visit my old base to feed my old dinos there. I do that only because Im such a good person and dont want them to starve to death.
Yeah I'm not gonna move since I HATE the north, mostly because there's no way to survive in it, I went there for a breeding pair of penguins once and was still freezing even in fur armour with a torch, also I already have an easy source of oil, pearls and fur, oil from my dung beetles and the ocean, pearls from beaver dams, and I have two sheep ((strangely I found them both in the southern islets)).
i live in the north, how is there no way to survive? they've given us all the things we need to survive in the north...

Then how come with fur armour and a torch I'm still cold in it? =n=

Have you put any points into fortitude? It can make a very noticible differance.

Uhhhh I can't level up fortitude. .-.
There's a lot of ground-level hives if you know where to look. a Rex does like 800 damage to the hive then you can sneak flowers into the queen whenever.

Although redwoods is easiest because they get stuck in the tree and pose no threat after the hive is destroyed.

basic fur armor isn't warm enough for advanced winter. Only good enough for clear day skies in the snow
need better versions from crates/beacons or use fria curry

Fria curry??? ugh I don't have time for making all that just so I can live in a place I don't want to.

I watched like 5, all of them killed the drones easily with their spinos, but mine just can't get the whole "don't kill the queen" thing right, so I'm trying to find an alternative you obliv.
