Giganotosaurus gone mad!!!! Help!!

Hello guys! The reason for me to come up with this is for help! I managed to tame my first Giganotosaurus in game, it was at the moment a level 30 color black!! A real handsome male! The very moment I tamed him, I couldn't withstand myself from riding it, so I saddled him and went for a ride.....not the the best idea...somehow the damned animal became enranged and killed me in a sec! Since then I decided not to ride him! Instead I've got him parked and been leveling him! The thing is today after a long while, and after reaching him to level 82 I decide to ride him once MORE! I increased health, stamina, melee damage etc. I went to collect some materials, since I live in a dangerous area (usually full of rexes, smilodons etc) so I always take a carnivor with me (sadly this time I decided to take the Giga) everything was fine, things were smooth and I was happy...SUDDENLY I just fall a little down a cliff (the biech took some damage apparently) and he unsaddles me and kills me! WTF!!! After that I took my Quetzal and decided that I was going to test why he keeps killing me! I tried everything from damaging him myself (yeah I punched him several times; was really♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥off!) , to wasting all his stamina...everything worked fine until...I decided to jump and get some fall damage....seems he hates damaging his feet...fortunately I had God cheat activated (I wasn't willing to die) SO I took my shotgun and wasted some ammo on the fools head! Now my question is, is this normal? Do you guys experience the same? How can this be fixed or prevented? Am really♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥cause It took me a hell to get it, and now I can't use it without being scared of getting killed by my own MOUNT! Would like your help

Fall damage is iffy on a Giga because they are so large, you end up falling more than you'd think, the way a Giga's rage works is how much % of it's health it loses over a period of time, fall damage, even small amounts is a fairly large % of a mounts health instantly, this causes them to enrage.

Thanks, yeah was thinking that too! I live near mountains, and the slope is a bit steep, guess that is the reason! Anyway to fix it?

Ride another dino and just make the giga follow you, Use it like a guard dog. If its following you it takes no fall damage.

Why don't you read the wiki on the gigs. The rage mechanic is just part of the kit.

Thre used to be a great mod on the Workshop which balanced the giga much better - reduced it's HP and damage so that it was still a force to be reckoned with, but not so obscenely OP as vanilla. And that mod removed the rage mechanic too.

Sadly it was taken down about the time that SE came out :( Keep hoping to see it again, but it hasn't surfaced yet.

I refuse to use them. I hate how towering they are. Even the Rex is big for my taste but eh, its personal with me.

They are very moody animals, like a PMSing woman, one wrong step will set them off.

I found it best to use gigas on flat ground or hilly areas at most. Mountains are hell for gigas, set them on follow and use a rex or allo pack.

Just hit E and dismount before hitting the floor, I run my Gigas off of cliffs on the regular.

Thanks guys for the intel! Yeah I was planning to stop using it on mountainous areas! I was wondering however! How the Hell are you supposed to use a Giganotosaurus in PVP (specifically raiding considering that you will most likely get tons of damage) if it will eventually turn against you!! Sounds stupid to me the rage mechanic!

I've read it! Yet! Fall damage! WTF!? Really!? I mean, am not saying it is threw mine from top of the volcano!! Am talking about a height of about 10 METERS! Not even a Dodo should receive that much damage from such a height!

lol, 10 meters IRL would cause you to collapse in on yourself and sort of...compress, or crack your skull and break some bones, and would probably break the giga's leg, even if it were that size IRL, which it is definatley not. 10 meters is 30 DAMN FEET. That's no joking matter.

Dropping 4 meters as a human is a good way to twist or break an ankle if you're not careful. 10m is basically a fall from a 3 storey building.

Okay, perhaps i exaggerated on the height! But the distance from where I tested it! I've fallen from higher distances and shouldn't cause that massive damage on such a large creature! Besides 10m should be dangerous for a human, however if we consider that the height of a Borneo was taller than 10m and a Giga is almost the height of a Bronto in the game, 10m of damage shouldn't damage that much! However I think I'll avoid jumping from now on
