How could it be created on stolen funds when The Odd Gentlemen aren't the ones paying for KQ? Activision is the publisher, so unless you're implicating Activision in this alleged theft, your entire accusation falls flat from the start.

even though Whatpumpkin Tasked TOG with developing their game with the Hundreds of thousands of dollars raised through kickstarter and they stole that by blowing off deadline dates, outright refusing to make it, and then using said money on this garbage? yeah, if that aint stealin, i dont know what is.

You realize that Publishers don't hand out blank checks, right? They give the Dev a flat amount to make the game, and generally that's all the Dev gets (especially from Activision). If the Dev wants to do things that the initial amount can't cover, they either need to scale back production or find another source of funding. And they're sure not going to willingly scale back production, considering they're leaning on King's Quest as their breakout title.

And it is Stolen Nostalgia. Many will buy this because of the old Sierra games from back then, while you can clearly see it has nothing to do with the fantastic old games!

Exactly how can you "clearly" see such a thing? Especially considering it includes many of the characters from the original series of games and will probably reference those adventures quite a bit, I have to call hogwash on your claim.

Also its not activision, its sierra, it was revived and i think they got rights back from activision.

the short of it (sprinkled with my own brand of perspective):

• King's Quest (2015) developers - The Odd Gentlemen - knowingly took funds gathered from a kickstarter for a video game (Homestuck Adventure Game) they were contracted (by WhatPumpkin) to make and put them towards developing this title instead.
  
  
• WhatPumpkin and The Odd Gentlemen apparently reached a settlement for the stolen funds, but sounds like they had the cheaper lawyer.
  
  
• WhatPumpkin is now doing it's own development it looks like, so nobody died over this, folks. looks like The Odd Gentlemen are just pirates that plunder with mercy.

It's all a matter of perspective...
Sometimes a cheaper lawyer translates to the facts just not holding up....
And sometimes it is really just a better arbitrater...
