Market Attraction Needs Rework. Strange Mechanics with Large Populations.
In a previous unmodified run I built Rome into a megapolis and the city developed some strange market behaviors, extending its' reach far further than it should've, leaving a very large dark "market access" zone where other markets should've been operating while crowding out other regional markets like Genoa and Venice, and effecting as far out even as Barcelona and Drobvnik.

So I decided to experiment... I used a population modifier, built a market in Hokkido, and as the city grew past 2 million people, the market reached such an expanse that it covered most of Japan---and most of them have poor market access. Again, the market in Kyoto should cover most of the central island, but instead, the market attraction from Hokkido is overwhelming Kyoto despite the poor access Hokkido provides at that distance.

Markets access / protection and market transportation distances need to be reconsidered. This setup needs an overhaul. This large population bug indicates that something major doesn't work under the hood.

After further experimentation I found the driver: the number of buildings within a given market push market attraction outwards geographically at an exponential pace ... below a certain threshold it's entirely within scope and peer-competitive but the moment that threshold point is crossed, probably the 100% - 125% mark, as a guess, the mechanic starts to run wild, and you end up with an overwhelming dead-zone pushing ever outwards consuming all within its' path.

This mechanic needs a rework.
