Ruler Death far to quick and Religion

please can you fix rulers dying so quickly. I know this isn't CK3 , but , id like to keep my dynasty going , instead ruler always dies a few years into game start without any heir. Thanks

EDIT : Also religion is shallow/impossible regards European paganism. i.e. not much content for Norse and Gaelic Paganism ( Ireland) isn't even in the game. Plus, European paganism only has slave mechanics !! Bit insulting really
