I agree totally let down for me as game is not a immersive battles you might as well by like auto resolve in total war.

i play multi player with a group of friends have done for 5 years Eu4 and now Eu5 out of the 11 players 8 have left the Eu5 group since daily ticks came in as they are not enjoying the game now.

The game has gone backwards trying to appease some players instead of trying to improve what they had.

The game is not as different to what Eu4 is and that's a bad thing as Eu5 had the potential to be amazing but it feels to similar to Eu4 now, with daily ticks battles ae a waste of time, political influence is like mana in Eu4 and a way to slow the player down at start with makes the game less fun.

1900 hours in Eu5 to date i doubt ill make it to 2000 with these changes.
Yeah, I'm thinking I'm going back to 1.3 and starting over. I'm about 90 hours into a solve that was compatible with 1.4 but the hourly ticks being gone and lack of manual trading...

if those two are back I'm all in because I like some of the other stuff, but without it? The immersion feels a lot less IMO
I hate this EA game. They just make the most regressive changes literally nobody is asking for, have completely upturned and changed the game drastically multiple times since release. It's a beta version and I'm sick of not only all the changes but the fact that every change breaks something and now they're targetting immersion so that the 3 people who were against hourly ticks can finish their 500 year long game 19 minutes faster despite less than 1% of them even getting past 1700
It was certainly a stupid move of Paradox asking the community about hourly and daily ticks. Now everyone is arguing about it. Before 1.4 came along I think I saw one post about the hourly ticks, that was it. Now everyone is chiming in on both sides. Stupid.

I think most of the people arguing for the daily ticks just want the game to be faster. They seem to think it will solve all the issues. It wont. The issues will still be there. You will just be able to finish a game a bit faster.

Whereas the people arguing for the hourly ticks are arguing that it will ruin the immersion of the combat. That to me seems far more important.

Either way though it will not alter a damn thing that is wrong with this game, which is that it has dull and non-immersive gameplay, and that there is no clear direction or guidance available in the game at all.

Hourly ticks was one of the big complaints early on, but I think most people got used to them.....

I think what people really wanted to complain about was performance. Unfortunately hourly tics were blamed for this bad performance. Now performance is much better - and it will impove even more, so there is no point to give up on granulation/smoothness.
no we gotta perma play 1.3 eu 5 for the rest of time to have our ticks
Hour ticks is utter garbage, and the game lacks immersion for other reasons, i am really tired of you paradox newcomers/tourists... all these ideas are crap and botched, paradox should return to listen their old guard fanbase, who are loyal and know much more about grand strategy.

Just telling the truth here, you clowns are the only ones wanting a breaking trash that don't work in a game that spams 500 years, can't you accept these facts that majority of folk don't want this ? they will not sacrifice 99% of their fanbase because 1% schizos.

I think you took this 99% from your butt. And it stinks. Speak for yourself insted of some kind of imaginary majority you use to cover your lack of confidence.

I am totally agreed. Daily ticks may be good in EU4 but not for EU5. It doesn't looks EU game. It looks like Fortnite deathmatch.

The funny thing here is that it is the diehard grognards arguing for the hourly ticks and the younger more casual crowd arguing for the faster gameplay. You took a wrong turn and are in the opposite sides camp. Either way it doesnt sound like a 99 / 1 split more like a 50 / 50 split. Paradox really opened up the wound by asking what everyone preferred.

You have 25 hours in EU5 and 250 hours in EU4. I have 580 hours in EU5 and 4000 hours in EU4. I am for daily ticks.
