Until I can finally buy this game.

- Guy who doesn't buy Paradox games until they've been out at least 4 years because of their predatory DLC practices

If you need help with your finances, give me a call. That sounds really worrying.
It's a principle thing
I appreciate the sentiment though
Yet here you are, lurking the Community, salivating at the thought of being able to enjoy the game like we all do.

"yet you participate in society" tier argument
Yet here I am, occassionally remembering this game and choosing to check up on it, seeing it's on sale, then thinking "lol nice try but no"
What is the problem with Paradox's DLC practices?

Paradox games, if successful, have 10+ years post release development, and not only for fixes, but also for massive content additions. You cannot finance that with a one time $60 price tag. So, what are your alternative suggestions? A monthly subscription fee? Microtransactions? Gacha? Charging $3.99 for every tag unlock?

I'm personally okay with paying for DLC to enable this level of post release support. Sure, there are some DLC that are either bad, or overpriced, or both. I just don't buy those. It's okay. You don't have to own every piece of a game in order to play it. For example, if you're not interested in Byzantium flavor, just don't buy Fate of the Phoenix, you don't need it.
