I hate the Oda
Anyone else think the Oda are annoying ? It seems every campaign I do the Oda ruin everything. I try to expand my territories, build armies then develop my cities, but depending on my clan and how close I am to them they always attack at the worts times. For example I can never get past turn 25 on my Hattori campaign without them showing up and taking over. On my Chosokabe campaign it takes them about 70 turns before they start be annoying. Any hints on how to play this game better would be helpfull. (P.S. I ussually play on easy but still get my ass kicked)

You can hope that the Tokugawa kill them...or you can play very aggressively early on and try to form this army composition ASAP:
4YariAsh
4BowAsh
4KatanaSam(This is critical.I noticed that the AI loves to Zerg Ashigaru and with the bonus the Oda have to these peasants you definitely will want at least one unit of these guys.)
The rest is up to you. Also do not neglect diplomacy. Both the Takeda and the Hattori(beware this one, they like to backstab) can be powerful allies.
And agents.Agents are campaign changers for sure.

Yeah my problem is right now on my Hattori campaign is that they are sending a full army of, Their Daimyo, the son and heir, another general, 4x Sword samurai, 4xbow samurai, 5x yari samurai, and 3x sword cavalry and all I have is about 10 yari ashigaru , 15 bow ashigaru, 3 yari samurai, my daimyo, the heir and a general, spread out between 5-6 regions .

Yer Oda are a pain, but if you can't beat em join em

Takeda are usually a really big pain vanilla mid-game before getting their asses smeared by Oda. Obama is the Oda (but more insane) in Fall of the Samurai every game.

So you can't beat them in fair fight.. so what? send them your agents, sabotage their buildings, destroy their army, kill their leaders and then wait till they start a war with other clans. When they do, they'll send all their forces to fight... this is your moment ---> take their territory when they are not at home. If I killed them in very hard with the hattori I bet you wouldn't have a problem doing it on easy. BTW Hatorri are diferent from other clans, you can't build an aconomy until you rule on at least 5 regions. You need to be very aggressive at the begining and go west (acctually it's south if you place the map on the correct way) and leaving the Oda for their own.

If you have a problem have your army retreat and sacerifice a city while having the rest of your cities build units then combine them latter on to over power the oda or you can aways try the faithful ambush

It also seems like I have below average income with my cities after capturing them and my income goes way down.

Money is power, You need it to make use of your agents, maintain fleets and armies. Besides building structures to increase your wealth use your ships to raid trade lanes. Use cheap ships and know your going to lose them so you must keep building a few extra ships. Use your ships/agents to hurt the Oda finances.
The other thing is ally with the Oda. f you have the same enemies its quite likely they will ally with you.

Have won with all clans at legendary. As said over use ninjas to spot and take regions when they are out of it. Retreat to best defensable place so you dont overstretch, and give up regions at once you have captured them if u can't hold. Let them be taken or rebell.
F.ex on Ise coastline in defense have army outside (usually you should have them outside towns) - very good defense on high slopes - find nice terrain and use it, then you have to advance! and exploit enemies loss of armies. Bribing enemy forces is not a dependable strategy, but it can turn the campaign. Best troops to get is Oda yari and bow ashigaru cause they are good and cheap in service.
You might want to produce troops and attack continously - and get economy by capturing, as it is preferred strategy to win a campaign.

Heh, they got wiped out early in my Hattori campaign, swamped by the Tadaka and their allies.

Doing much better I offerd my daimyo's son as a hostage to the Oda, after a while the Takeda killed them, we now have an alliance of, Takeda , Ikko Ikki, Uesigi, Ashikaga, Hatano, Hattori (Me).

This post made me laugh, cause it reminded me of Japanese history with the Oda becoming the dominant aggressive and fear-striking force early in this period.

Lol now its just me Takeda, Uesigi and the Honma. We are all allies except the Honma who is stuck on that one tiny island province. I make about 20,000 a turn and have the largest area and wealth of all the survivors.
