put these together and enjoy a new game
A lot of them were updated 6+ years ago so there's very little chance any of them will get updated. Thanks creative assembly!
mods aren´t broken. they work just fine
CA just updated the mod manager and broke a lot of games.
a new install shouldn´t have any problems running mods.
if you had mods active when they updated then you re screwed and need to delete everything Shogun 2. scripts saved on the main drive too, not just the shogun 2 folder in steam
If you are having a problem with the game do the following:
1. Make a list of any mods no the steam workshop that you are subsrcibed to.
2. Unsubscribe from them.
3*. Delete user.script file (if you have one) located in:
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2\scripts\
[Note: Appdata is a hidden directory so make sure you check the Hidden Items box on the view tab in file explorer].
4. Verify your game files on steam.
5. Launch the game, on the launcher open the Mod Manager and deactivate all mods.
If the game loads ok and you are able to start a campaign then all is well. Exit resubscribe to the mods on the workshop, activate those that you want in the mod manager and it will work fine.
* If you don't have a user.script file you can skip step 3.
