Do you know any similar games?
This game is awesome on so many levels! I wonder if there is anything more like this. Do you know any similar games?

You could try All Guns on Deck, although it hasn't had the best reviews. GoIO is also very good, however it's limited to first person and you're just a crew member (Pilot/Gunner/Engineer)

Thank you! I played GoIO, but that is not so cool without a proper team. Actually I like the building part of Airships, I'm looking for a game where I can build my own vehicles and the gameplay is very similar.

A few of the people who play this also seem to like From the Depths, but I haven't played it myself.

Perhaps you'd like Space Engineers or Besieged?

Space Engineers is a big no, for many reasons. Some in-game, some developer based. But Besiege is good, I don't have it, however. I do have From the Depths though, and it's great.

Reassembly is good. I just got it and it's pretty fun. However, I'd wait for a sale, as it's $15.

Oops, sorry, that was my fault.

From Depths is freeking good, but I'm not really into first person building. The design method of this game is better and I much more like this "manager type" gameplay, where I give orders and the AI does the rest. Actually I'm wating for Galactic Princess now, but its development is really slow and haven't heard much news about it for a long time. But if you look at it, you'll see what I'm looking for.

Oh, one game that gets compared to this one alot: Gratuitous Space Battles. It plays completley differently than Airships, but it has many of the same style-ideas.

I have to agree! But it needs bigger battlefield for bigger ships :D

There are certainly some similarities between Airships and the Stardrive games. Certainly plenty of ship designing, large projectile-laden battles and tech advancement to be had in it, in addition to some other 4X-related content.

It's a passion project by one person, so it's not without its weak points, but I got a few dozen hours of decent playtime out of both Stardrive I and II. Stardrive II is the superior of the two in my opinion.

There might also be other relevant games of its ilk, if someone with more of a 4X background cares to weigh in on the subject.
