Don't use rockets. Wasps and moon disks are basically immune to rockets.
Depending on how much armor the moon disk has (I've got no idea, since I've not faced one) you're going to need a bigger gun. When all else fails, use the imperial cannon en masse.
Thing is, it -only- has its moon torpedoes.

But yes, by the time I can hunt down a moon disk I've already won the campaign. Otherwise the CPU gets it first.
I see it as a large suspendium chamber that doesn't have to be at the top and doesn't explode, but is particularly vulnerable to imperial cannon unless you have keels.
I've managed to design a ship that can do one-on-one with the moon disk so hopefully I find another.
The lift/dollar is 15% less on the moon fragment. Way less if you add armour.
It has 20 hp/square, whereas the large crystal has 33.
0.33 hp/dollar, with the crystal at 1.15.
5 ships that cost $900 ($4500)
my ships are basically extremely fast rammed ships so I ram the disk until it died.
who will win?
A GIANT DEADLY DISK FROM SPACE THAT NEEDS A GIANT FLEET TO DISTROY vs some fast bois
