Controller issues

I used a PS4 controller wired on the PC which works fine in other games and un the settings menu. For some reason though hatred doesn't seem to recognise it as in game and menu there is no response to any button presses. Anybody have any suggestions?

Hatred only has "partial controller support". I think only Xbox controllers work on it.

We only support official Microsoft controllers. Steam Controller works too. 3rd party controllers might work if they follow Microsoft recommendations and register themselves properly into the system. If they don't - I can't help you with that.

I have personally verified that PS3 controller works, although that requires using an emulator that tricks the system to think it's a Microsoft gamepad. No idea about PS4 gamepads.

For a PS3 controller, download SCP Toolkit, for PS4, I think Steam already supports those, but for anything non-steam, you could also use SCP Toolkit or DS4 Windows.
