Weakness disgust me. lol
It was meant as a joke my friend. That's why I put the lol at the end to signifying that I was joking, not serious. I don't have a problem with people using alternative controls if that's what they are comfortable with. Take it easy.
Oh I understand. But if you look at my original comment you can read that I admitted that the "controls are clunky". I don't care if you think my sense of humor sucks, it was suppose to be a joke without trying too hard. I've been on 9gag since 2010 and I know exactly the kind of passive aggressive behavior that goes on over there on that website. I'm just letting you know that it was a genuine joke.
I don't mind if the game gives you an option, let people choose what they want, but I remember Silent Hill 4 being released in the PC-DVD days and it only had the new style controls (made even harder because I was using the keyboard arrow keys to move). I think Silent Hill 3 let you choose, so I obviously kept with the classic. I found SH4 a total nightmare, Henry was constantly doubling back into enemies when he was supposed to be running away just because the camera changed and the direction I was holding now meant run towards the enemy and not away!
At least with "tank" controls, up is always forward so you don't have to worry. It's just automatic for me and I never have to think about it.
Although true, it is really hard to then turn left and right when under pressure and you have to think about what directions these will now be when they aren't relating to the screen you're now looking at. This is especially difficult if you want to traverse multiple camera changes in one unbroken run. If the controls don't change it is easy to run through multiple sreens when left is always left, right is always right, up is always forward etc. Fair play the modern controls work for you though, that's why it's good to have the options to choose.
Pretty much my thoughts, it's much easier to run around enemies, and I generally get around the map much more quickly.
