Maybe you left behind some ammo you can backtrack for, or you might try loading an earlier save and try to reach that part in a better situation.
As for splitting Becca and Billy with Becca running around the oven thing, I did that (that's how I managed to unload all my stuff at the Boss without losing health). Oh well, if I don't find another solution I think I'll just abandon the game cause I really don't want to go back to the previous saves, it's too much trouble :)) the game is good, but insanely difficult, I never had this much trouble with the first one (Resident Evil HD Remaster Biohazard).
Honestly, you shouldn't be surprised that you've run out of ammo when you start your first playthrough of a classic RE game on Hard mode. Hard is meant to be played when you already know the game and know how to effectively manage your supplies, not on a blind playthrough (hence why in most games it's locked by default).
The reason why RE remake looked easier to you is because you played it under Normal, so it makes perfect sense that you're having more troubles with RE0 since you're playing it on Hard right from the start.
Yes, you're right I guess. I did play the first Resident Evil on normal difficulty (if I'm not mistaken the hard difficulty was locked initially). Now that I think about it, I'm amazed I managed to get to this point as it is :D
I do have a savepoint right before the second fight with the proto tyrant and my ammunition is quite OK at that point, so if I find a way of defeating that thing without getting too much damage and spending too much ammo, I guess I'll try finishing the game.
Thanks for all your help folks!
Completely agree! Hard is for familiar playthrough-RE 0 and 1-3 all screw you over if you don't provision ammo and health resources for the tough runs and bosses! I love these games, but they do punish you unfairly if you didn't use one of your precious save ribbons at jUST the right time and place!
Well I'm replaying the game on easy mode (need to pick up a few more achievements), of course I'm gonna try Wesker mode as well (there's an achievement for just playing that mode too).
