Why in Russia this AA game from noname cost more than GTA5 and Withcer 3 and cost like any deluxe EA or Ubisoft game?

Are you guys crazy? I saw sales of this game recently - only about 20 000 of copies. Good job in shooting yourself in a feel with such a greedy prices!

GTAV cost here 1999 rub, Witcher 3 initial cost was 799 rub, after fall of ruble they raised it up tp 1299 rub. These are games with established names from known publishers with AAA polishing and high production values, but yet - they cost 500-1200 less than this Technomancer game from noname publisher and developer which i and most of people know probably only by single mediocre game Mars Log Wars, which did not even have key rebinding i settings.

And i should mention, that despite russian price is equal to worldwide, it does not even have any sort of russian loclisation, not even subtitles!

Jesus - dont you guys know anything about our courrupt goverment, ruined economy and low level of life and low salary. and that if price is too high russians will not buy it. which is why most o publishers keep 2x-4x lower prices in Russia, because for us such prices are equivalent of 2-4x higher prices for you? Prices are not actually reduced in Russia, they are downscaled to equivalent of your prices according to econimic sutuation.

Let me explain it simple way.

2 years ago, before Putin-ass took over Crimea, middle class here had salary about 30 000 - 60 000 rub, currency conversion was 30 rub = 1$ usd, so we had in average about 1000-2000$ per month . After political fiasco and oil price dump 1$ usd became 65 Rub. Our currecy became 2x cheaper than it was and we still have same freaking salary 30 000 - 60 000 rub per month, so basically our salary was cut in half, and we now have just a freaking 500$-1000$ per month average, and everything that came here from outside of russia became 2x expensive for us, but even our greedy mother ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ vendors rised all prices to 2x, despite their pricing was not really such dependant from USD.
So to put it even more simple - game that cost for you 60$, while technically it cost 60$ for us, in reality became equivalent of 120$ , and this is when we have just about 500$-1000$ per month now!

Do you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ realise that paying 1\5 or even 1\10 of entire month salary for one freaking game, when we have hell lot of high taxes to pay and freaking expensive food and clothes and rest of thing, is insane?

And im talking about mid-class from big cities like Moscow, which is not majority, most of country are low-class and their salary is about 5 000 -15 000 Rub per month average, its a freaking ~75-250$ USD per month, and you want them to pay a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2500 which is about ~40 $ usd. So they they will have just about 36$ - 210$ left to live entire month!

This is why reasonable publishers cutting at least half of price here and not rising above 2000 rub for uber hyped AAA games and never go above 1000 rub for less hyped not so AAA games like Technomancer, and for indie games it usually never goes above 500 rub.

Whoever responsible for pricing should be fired due of incompetence and lost russian market, and price should be reduced to a AA price which is abou 599-799 rub here! And you should at least add russian subtibles, otherwise you are comletely loosing Russian market of steam, which one of 3 biggest few.

Even Ubisoft and EA games (which people from Russia prefer not to buy unti sales and -50% price tag) cost no more than 2000 in base form and 2500 with season pass included. And like i said - sales of Ubisoft and EA are the lowers here because they are greediest and their games does not have such a value.

But do you seriously belive that your game has better value that any of Ubi or EA game to have balls and set same price? You really should re-think that again! its nowhere near to Witcher 3 amount of content and quality, so it cant cost more thatn 1300 rub here, and even that price it too high for this game, judging by reviews.

If you really want to boost sales and do some money you should reduce prrice at least to 799 rub here and starte a sale with -15-25%

This is the only way you can profit here and get some better reveiw, because you know, surprise, but review depends a lot from ratio of price and game value.

Publisher and devs of this game does not speak Russian, the dont even understand what people are talking about in russian threads in russian language. If you want something from publisher you have to speak english. Threads i saw was in russian. people who think that publisher will understand that russian mumbo-jumbo - are idiots.

Because you have flawed logic and misunderstanding difference between "people dont like something" and "people doing something wrong". Basically you only see effect - people dont like that, but you cant follow the logic to the cause - some people did something wrong, which is why some people dont like it.

It seems to me that there are some threads in English too, but I don't see it now, ok. If the price were lower, it would be great, because I can't but agree with the facts in the topic thread. Also you cant follow the simple logic - if person name some treshold or lowest level of something as start point for some action this person does at well, this should give you idea that level of this person is above named level, because nobody sane enought would exclude himself. And i took this level as minimum becasue from all people i talked only people starting with IQ 120 was rational enough to keep constructive discussion and rarely annoyed me by stupid questions or actions. I don no consider anyone bellow this level smart enough - average people are not smart, and steam full of average and way bellow average people, and they turn every freaking discussion into trash bin. which is why i said that and raised the mimimum bar to that level. Oh and im sorry to dissapoint you, but last time i took IQ test, which was about month ago, my level was at least 186, and this was the biggest score this particular test could show, in every test i participated i got maximum number that this test can show, without a single logical mistake. In one test limit was 130, in another 150, in this one 186, and im pretty sure if ill bump into one that has limits higher than 186, ill push it to the limit as well.

And im so tired of people with level way bellow 120 trashing every thread on steam with offtopic, flaming, etc and forcing me to do that as well. Ignoring such people as you are does not work, as i noticed. Shaming someone does sometimes.

So now when we disctussed that enough - can you show me at least some evidence of intelligence and start tallking about main subject - overpricing of game, or just keep silence if you cant say anything smart related to subject?

I wonder, if you are not russian and this problem does not affect you at all, why do you even here? THis is obviously a thread for publisher, developer and russians who can speak english and thinkt that game is overpriced.

Blame Steam key resellers. Games have been much cheaper in Slavic regions because of their low wages and high piracy. But it allows people to obtain keys in these cheaper regions and resell them. So I'm not surprised that more and more publishers are offering their games at one flat price across the board.

Almost european price is still better than region restriction, you can always wait for sale and price drop.

Может я и не прав - но игра провалилась на всех региональных рынках ПК судя по продажам (корабоксовская версию вроде народу понравилась), поэтому разработчикам сейчас в сущности по..... на наши российские реалии и наши требования. У этих 50 несчастных игроделов голова болит по поводу сбыта своего чуда в гораздо более прибыльных странах (в первую очередь США, потом - Британия и Германия, Азию не берем в расчет - судя по стилистике Техномансер заточен под западного пользователя).
То что ты написал вызвало закономерный протест со стороны той же западной аудитории, которые бурно не понимают "почему они должны платить больше бабок чем эти русские Иваны!", а заодно выливают на нас ушаты дерьма про наш с тобой и с Владимир Владимировичом моральный облик. Скоро начнут вскрывать секретные планы по захвату мира верхом на кавалерийских медведях залпового огня.
Спокуха! Будет и на нашей улице праздник, через год ее будут продавать на распродажах по 500-800р, тогда и приобретем. Заодно если повезет уже выйдет русификатор на ZoG.

I understand your position but the publisher wants a specific amount of money for the game, perhaps they don't understand your market or region. At least you'd like to buy it.

What im asking for is regular treatment that always existed in Russia for a few decades.

They only have to block gifting of this game outside of CIS\RU to stop spreading game at lower price outside our region and everyone will be happy. Also dont be a stupid - the way our econy works and level of life we have here comparing to outsiders makes every non US price equivalent to x2 or ever x4.

They have 2-4x higher salary, comparing to us, so whats for them is just 30, for us is like 60-120 for them, this is why prices was always "lower" for Russia, they may look like lower for non russians, but for us its a freaking equivalent of their prices or even higher. Direct currecy conversion does not take hell lot of vital conditions into account. Welcome to real world!
