Nope, sadly not.

I would have rather had the option to choose another character that was female but Idc really it's hopefully gonna be a fun game either way plus it's better than Mars war logs where you can't change the look of your character besides armor

Devs said they didn't have enough money to pay for the female MC voice acting as well as the extended casts acting to facilitate a female MC. So there isn't a female MC simply because they didn't have the budget for it.

Yet the price of the game is the same as for game that WOULD have had the budget for that... conartists
Lol... have you played previous games by Spiders? It sounded like voice acters got paid one and a half potato and the selection process was all about choosing the folks with the worst nasal infection they could find.

If we finally get some voice acting that is not abyssmally bad, then so be it that we lose out on a female protagonist. I mean, go listen to fem!Vulcan voice in Bound By Flame and to some NPCs there. Is that really what you want to happen in this game too?

And considering Technomancer is 40 hours long and has plenty of replayability through different quest solutions, so I totally understand why it costs as much as it does. I really hope that Technomancer will be a success and in the next game we will get a fem!protagonist option. But I sure won't pass by a good RPG just because I can't play as a woman.

Well, for example Kerbal Space Program doesn't use many voice artists / much dialogue and has a similar price (when not discounted). :steammocking:

Thanks. I always like to play as female character in every games if it possible. I watched a trailer and it look interesting. I will wait for reviews, if it very good, I will still buy it.
Hope this game will be good and sell a lot so Devs will have money to do female character in their sequel/next project.
sorry for my bad english.

I mean, if sales matter, then it kind of does. Some people won't bother buying over something like that.

Pretty much, plus the pricetag is higher than AAA games and I don't consider Technomancer AAA.
I believe the price is high because its new and later on in a couple of years the price will drop

It sucks honestly. In almost every RPG that I got I always choose a female assassin-like character. It just fits me the best. But that won't stop me from buying this game. That will depend on the day 1 reviews here (mostly caring about story progression and "unique" content)

Depends on where you live. In the US this game is less than 40$ which is far less than AAA.

Oh it's cool. I was being sarcastic anyway. :fhappy:
oh ok lol
I could see if the game did really well and had a squeal that is would have the option. With Voice acting costing quite a bit of money and time I assume they only had the budget for just the one. Not only that motion caps, models, etc would add up I assume.

Not buying a game because of pixel gender. Someone has some serious issues.

Gender impacts on game story telling, if someone don't like the story of a book they don't buy it

If you don't but a great game because of such a small aspect, then that is your fault. Game looks amazing regardless of gender.

I never said the game was ♥♥♥♥ or bad simply that I don't wanna buy it and that is my right. Not to mention price, I'll wait for mass effect Andromeda

Actually you called the devs conartists.
