No 4k resolution
So I have a 4k monitor and the highest resolution I'm getting is 1080p. Am I doing something wrong here? Also, I'm on a 980 and the FPS on ULTRA setting is poor.

Ultra setting is crazy demanding for very little visual gain (the AA in particular). I'm playing on a combination of High and Ultra, with Shadows at Medium and averaging 80fps for reference. Not sure why you aren't getting 4k to appear though, that's odd.

4k works just fine for me. running a 980 aswell. Did you update your nvidia driver?

I'm on a GTX 1080 and 4K Ultra gives ~45-55 FPS most of the time. Of course it's going to run poorly on a 980 :) I had 3 GTX 980s last generation and this single GTX 1080 outperforms them.

Im on the latest driver.
When I go to play the game and select options to change the graphics Display is showing:
Display 1 GTX 980 - should it show my monitor?
and Res is maxing out at 1080p.

Whats going on?

Make sure that you have the correct driver for your display. I know that usually with 4k screens (I have one) that it's a generic driver. But that's not always true.

Someone is going to point out that graphical interface APIs query the OS, which queries the GPU's driver for supported display modes, so I'll just go ahead and point out that the GPU checks the display.

So, if a game has a 4k setting and doesn't properly check, it will show up if you have a 4k screen and the wrong driver or even no 4k screen at all, so long as the GPU supports that mode. My first (and first being potentially wrong) guess is that this game does a proper check.

I figured it out. If you have a TV hooked up to your PC aswell as your 4K Monitor, make sure you disable that. It was the Sound for me.
