scythes from dark souls 2

I've always wanted to make a scythe based build, but they were really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the other version of this game , it seems like they've been improved but I'm not 100% sure about it, can someone deny/confirm if they're any better?

There is only one good scythe... and I don't know what it is. It's the one that uses the Twinblade moveset when 2handed.

some are good , you just need to ajust how you aim to hit with the tips of the blade and if you do it well you can even bypass shield

anyway if someone can do a lv 1 run with only a dagger you can finish the game with anything else easly

It's not for pve, I want to make cosplays for pvp, even though they were somewhat decent on the last version for pve, they sucked for pvp, I just wanna know if they still suck damage wise

Some of them do pretty decent damage. The scythe of want is particularly good if you are a hexer. Actually many of the scythes are pretty decent for hexers. Three of them have decent dark damage/scaling.

If being a hexer is not for you then I'd say take a look at the bone scythe or great scythe.

The trick to scythes though is that if you don't hit an enemy at the correct range you might end up doing only a third of the potential damage you can pull off.
