Small White Sign Soapstone>Human Effigy
I got summoned in the Forest of Fallen Giants with the SWSS and quickly killed the first few enemies, got sent back and got full health, like using a human effigy. I'm a real stinge with Effigies so is the SWSS a godsend?

I thought you couldn't put summon signs down unless you were human?

you can totally put down your summon sign when not human - just not summon yourself

there are a lot of effigies in the game anyway but if it encourages coop - why not

You can put both the small and large summons down while hollow. After a successful summons (you do your duty), you will regain your humanity.

Man, that is awesome, Thanks. Whenever I need more health, I'll just SWSS

This. If you're going for the full health+repair, it might be better to use the Small Soapstone since you'll be done with your duty that much faster/easier.

Also, the smooth stones you get by fullfilling your duty with the Small Soapstone can help. Not much, but a few more health points CAN be the difference between life or death.

It's good early on but late game less people might summon you. They will also probably choose large sign over small.

The Small Soapstone is one of the most useful items.

Need to change back to Human? Use it.
Need to repair your stuff? Use it.
Want to get rewards for helping people that aren't useless after 30? Use it.

Seriously, those Crows have the best covenant in the game.

Interesting. I always avoided small signs figuring I'd be wasting their time when I wasn't rushing through a level trying to kill as much as possible - assuming people were placing them to speedrun or reap tons of souls quick. If they're that helpful for them though, I'll jes snatch up whatever I find.

I've never really used them for farming souls, just for the stones or the reasons above.

Dumping them in the nest one by one and hearing the fan in my pc get louder and louder kinda amuses me too ;p

It's not hurting you I mean. They are there for a few enemies and they are gone. If I find a small sign I immediately use it without thinking.
