Aldia's Keep Mimics

So I'm running through Aldia's keep and I see not just one, but two mimics in high risen cages through the hallway in Aldia's Keep. The cages seem to be too high for the Hippos to reach and break. Does anyone know how to access them?

I think they're just decorative since arrows do no damage

Get the key and go into the locked area, you will see a lever, once you pull it you will release everything. I believe one of the Mimics has a Branch of Yore.

Light all 4 stone blazer (with message "don't you dare") and go back to Dragon Bone room for event and then you will get Aldia key for unlock laboratory.

You will see Lever inside at the end of the room, cages will falling and monster outbreak.

Aah, sweet. I see. Was wondering if lighting those torches and voluntarily summoning a Forlorn actually yielded something. Thanks.

Since it's in the same area does anyone know how to open the metal double door that's got the chains over it?

Those torches and all of those forlorn are the only means of acquiring Adia's Tower Key, which unlocks the torturer's chamber on one side of the hallway.
