Best armor set?
I tried alva, but I couldn't carry it without fatrolling because i use an ugs, a tower shield, and a dragonrider bow. Is the alva set or allone knight armor lighter, because i really like the look of the allone knight armor. Any other suggestions?

Isn't exist a ''best armor set'', there are good ones depending of what kind of tactic you want to use (Sorry for my english)

It's too relative to determine which one is the best. There's no such thing in DS. It must be one of the only RPGs with a completely non-linear gear progress. I'm using some stuff I barely know the names of (including the Faraam Boots) and they're not fully upgraded, but it works fine cos I focus on dodging instead of tanking. If your load is getting to 70% and beyond, try equipping rings and armor pieces (the sinner's mask is a good option) that'll increase your load. They can make a huge difference if you want to use heavy stuff and dodge like a plume.
I recommend going after the Royal Soldier's Ring (base one is behind a breakable wall in No-man's, in a room with a chest in it with a Fragrant Branch, two Varangians at a table and vases of poison everywhere, dunno where +1 was and +2 is dropped by NG+ velstadt), and the Dragon rings. (The third one is in late-game tho, at Dragon Shrine), of which both GREATLY increase your load. Also, a good thing to do is store all of the other weapons you're using at the moment, except for your two main ones, keep the bow in your inventory, and when the time comes, you can quickly swap into the other.

Alva's is lighter than most, and provides FANTASTIC protection, but alonne Knight Armor looks so much cooler. :P
My lion mage skirt is soooo stylish. :)

You have to wear Faraam...just because it's totally the armor of the Gothic New Camp Mercenaries ;)

"The best armor" is whatever provides the most protection for you but still keeps you at your desired encumbrance. Increase your vitality and wear Royal soldier / Dragon rings and you can get more protection without fatrolling.

I used to wear what I thought was the best armor, but it was too much weight. And no, it wasn't Havel's. I fashion souls now. I use Straid's Black Hood, Hexer Robes, Black Leather Boots, and Black Leather Gloves--all upraded. With my weapon, shield, staff, and chime, I clock in at around 35% weight.

I say wear what looks good to you. If you don't get hit, there's no point in wearing the "best" armor.
