How long is each Dark Chasm of Old?
That's kind of the only thing left for me to finish exploring the world before NG+. My first attempts were frustrating as I aggroed everything at once even though I tried my best not to. So if they're too long, I'll just go to NG+ :/

3 of them, each has like 4-5 enemies. after clearing 3 areas darklurker boss is unlocked. if you die to the darklurker, you will have to beat 1 area again to gain access to the boss.

So the areas themselves aren't big? I know there are three enemies at the beginning of two of these areas. Trying to lure one always gets the attention of the other two to me :/

Make sure you do the Dark Chasm in Drangleic Castle LAST.

It's the easiest and the closest to a bonfire. This will make things easier if you have to fight the Darklurker several times.

2-3 hours tops to finish them all + darklurker, unless you're very special

I just tried the one at the Shaded Woods and it took me... 10-20min, I think? Died at the Gulch to the pyromancer and as silly as it sounds, that frustrated me, so I'll try again later. I thought crushing the enemies to the ground would be a cheap and fast way to deal with them provided I manage to lure one at a time, so I tried that and was happy to see positive results. I'm just kinda afraid of the Darklurker, not gonna lie.

yeah he's kinda tough if you don't know what exactly you're up against. he's fun to fight tho, imho one of the better designed bosses in ds2, wrecked me on my first try since i didn't know of his special ability lol

Yes that special ability keeps you on your toes. :)

Actually I highly suggest doing the one at the Shaded Ruins last, it doesn't have the stupid pyromancer or Havel. All enemies in that one are a joke, you'll arrive at the darklurker in the best shape out of the three.

the areas itselves don't take more than 10 minutes really, but darkluker can be hell so yeah take poison arrows cheese the mobs and go for the boss

Hmm to me the one near Drangleic castle was the easiest. But I was using power stanced large clubs back then, and even the Havel couldn't take much of that.
