Search for "Mimic face data" and you will find post with steps. And it take you couple of tries before it register as he writes. Usually helps to teleport after death or try to run to another location and die here and such.
What is the mod on nexus that allows you to change your character data?? i cant find it anywhere. I read thru the post and im in a similar boat u are in
"How to get this mod to work on the current patch, an easy but tedious way:
You have to downpatch the game. Following the steps written in this link.
Which basically are: Open Steam, press Win + R and run steam://open/console, then type download_depot 335300 335301 6969394704102823372. Steam will download an old version of the game. It will take a while, and once it is done Steam will say where the files were placed.
Now delete all the files within the Dark Souls II SotFS directory and replace them with the old version that you just downloaded through steam, you won't lose your save by doing this as it is saved elsewhere. Now open the game and do what you want to do with this mod and, if you want to be able to play online again, update/verify DsII:SotFS's files through steam."
Btw since Dark Souls II got updated for the RCE exploit the mod doesn't work out of the box. For it to work you need to downgrade the game. There is a comment under the said mod on Nexus explaining how you can download the older version from Steam's own server. It's not that hard.
You only need the older "DarkSoulsII.exe" file though not the other 17.9GB of files. If you want it, I can send you the older exe file, though I'd understand if you wouldn't wanna get a exe file from a stranger lol
