Petition for an English dub (For those interested)

For those of you who enjoy Funimation's stellar English dub on the Anime. Please consider signing this petition to let Bandai Namco know there is a demand for it.

They have already expressed interest in it themselves, as noted on an update on the petition page, and have stated they have passed the message along to KOEI.

I know petitions do not guarantee results, but it's still worth a shot.

I don't care that you "don't have the time" to read. Find the time, and stop asking for dubs. All dub voices are horrible, and whoever is bashing Franky's voice actor, that man is perfect in the role, he's one of the best.

Fullmetal Alchemist, Cowboy Bebop, Dragonball Z. Just a few examples of fantastic animes with fantastic dubs that are in some cases far better than the japanese VO.

the voice actors of one piece havent been working their butts off since 1999 so they could have their wonderful voice acting covered up by some fools just because they speak english

i think it is very disrespectful to take a piece of art and change it, this was the way its supposed to be so you should take the extra time to appreciate it instead of wanting it to be changed

its not that hard to read subtitles and for me having the voices ruined is a lot worse of a trade off just so i dont have to read..to put it as nicely as possible

japan is finally finally letting their games come to pc with the original and im very greatful for this

The "way it's supposed to be" is actually read, as in a comic book and not actually an anime, if you wanna get pissy. Apparently the Funimation voice actors are lazy and unprofessional compared to these very talented Japanese voice actors, and in no way do both the english cast and japanese have industry veterans who both do spectacular work.

the anime is an adaptation of the manga just like this game

the voices that japan chose for their anime is what the voices are supposed to be, i dont have a problem with english voice actors but i do have a problem with dubbing over the original voices and for many years having english dubs as the only option for games from the ps2 era until recently you had dubs or nothing and that doesnt sit right with me at all, i can chose to watch anime is japanese for 99% of anime thanks to wonderful fansubs or official subs but i cant do the same for games

dubs cost money, i would rather japan used that money to make sure that we get licenses for the original audio instead, i mean look at what happened with The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky also dubbing would ruin the subtitles if they subbed the english track instead of the japanese audio then the accuracy of the subtitles would be off

like i said im happy that japan is finally letting pc users have the games with the original audio, and you can tell in almost any forum for japanese games that this is how the majority of people want it, im just glad japan is understanding this

The reason we're not having this dubbed is because the english dub hasn't caught up fully, expect them to be dubbed when it does.
