Cut scenes cannot be fixed due to outdated video player being built into the game running what appears to be proprietary codec. Nothing can be done about this. (it's called activevideoplayer..i'm guessing you could find an updated version, but how you would patch this into the game I have no idea outside just copying it to the directory.)
Disabling hyperthreading may or may not have any effect on performance.
There is a reshade mod..but it just makes the screen too bright and blurs the screen everytime you get any sort of steam notification..so not recommended.
Run the game with xbox 360 type controller, other controllers will not work
After unlocing a skill or completing any sort of task, you may need to replay 1 mission with that character.
Playing the "grand pirates' mission with Teach..does not award the coin or the costume unless you beat the "grand pirates" with teach the first time. If you do not beat shanks the first time, you have to restart the dream log to get this coin. It's advised you do this after you get all other coins.
save your game constantly on certain missions that are known to crash (dressorosa trembles mainly)
Running game in administrator mode is suggested by some..though setting the game to windowed 1280 seems to fix things all around.
camera will sometimes screw up when fighting boss enemies in tight corners..you can modify camera settings to compensate
Unfortunately, there's no fixing the way they butchered one piece (bellamy dressorosa age in Jaya, o come my way karate, non smoking sanji, itoryuo zolo, etc etc).
It's very frustrating playing this game, I agree. I do not think they will be patching it due to pirate warriors 4 coming out in less than 3 weeks.
It takes about 100 hours by the way to get to the point where the only thing you have to do is complete dream log on nightmare, story on super hard and unlock gallery.. estimated 150-200 hours to get all achievements and beat all difficulties..soo if you are like me and want to get the most of this game before pirate warriors 4 launches..now you know.
Cutscenes were broken, random freezes and crashes. I made it to chapter 3.2 and I just can't continue no matter how much I want. My progress gets erased by random crashes or cutscene breaks.
I have tried everything from compatibility, HID disabling(which actually made me have to restore PC), graphics settings and administrator adjustments.
I am using a AMD 3700X with Radeon 5700, and every driver has been updated. I can't fathom how I play more complex games at 120 fps but this game defaults to blowing up.
I am glad I got this at 7 dollars, but in it's state for me, it has no value. It is literally unplayable.
This makes Bioshock release seem tame. As atleast when it randomly crashed I could constantly save and complete game. I have crashed while saving OPPW3.
I hope 4 gets some justice cause this horrible.
Also, how is a warriors game released with no controller support. Isn't the opposite the norm?
The only way I can think of fixing this would be to extract the video files from the Console edtion, and see if just replacing the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ videos fixis it. But then, they could be a differnt file format on the Console, for some dumb reson.
