Is there a chance for Grandia 3?

Hi hade made my run through it a few hours ago and while looking for something else to play i stumbled over my PS2 Emulator and Grandia 3

Since it never came to europe I had to rely on an emulator to use the US Version, but that was working poorly at some points (cutscene didn't stop correctly and i had to play the part again and then skip the scene)

So i was wondering and hoping that grandia 3 may finaly make its way to europe and pc.

Has anyone heard or read something?

Grandia 3...the one game in this series I simply did not like. At all.

I had heard bad things about it before I picked it up years ago but got it anyway. Big mistake.

Still, I hope it comes to steam so the people who do like it can play it.

ya 3 was better than extreme but still both were subpar when it came to Grandia I and II. Eng voiceactingwise Grandia 2 had the best vs Grandia 1 but that being said I feel the story in the first Grandia was a bit more epic(I mean there were times where I'd have permagoosebumps) then in the second although both were topnotch.

Some people seem to really like it. It's personal preference, just like anything. I played 3 after having played 1, 2 and Xtreme and 3 was by far the worst for me and I want my time back that I spent playing it.

You may actually like it though, who knows?

the problem with 3 was after 2 it just wasn't that big of a story.. kid and his mother wind up getting dragged into political ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when all the boy wants to do is build and airplane and fly

I'd love to replay 3. It's not as good as 2 but it has some welcomed refinements to the battle system, plus is looks a lot easier on the eyes.

I love replaying through 2 so far, but some of the game's older design is tough to look past. The SUPER zoomed in camera makes navigation a bit annoying in 2, for instance.

Grandia III has a rather bland and generic JRPG story when compared to the first two. The combat is still fun but, if you just like that, then Xtreme would have the edge in my opinion as it lets you battle with a number of different characters, which shakes it up a bit. If you want good story and gameplay, stick with the first two.

Two was my favorite. I remember having 3 on the ps2 and well it was kind of bland plus the whole disc switching was glitchy for me so it might have put a bad taste in my mouth.

Now that I really think of it, I'd take a port of 3 over 1 (unless they did some kind of remaster thing with 1, or ported the saturn version). I've played 1 and 2 several times, but never played 3 properly. Frankly, Grandia 1 can be emulated properly on a toaster if you want to.

I couldn't stand the story or atmosphere in 3, but I really liked the combat, particularly the air combo system. I hated the magic system, but I'd certainly give the game another shot if I could play a proper port.

The problem with Grandia 3 is that it's incomplete in both story and content. It's a shame too, because Grandia 3 has the best iteration of the IP combat system IMO. I would like to see a remade Grandia 3 with all the plot holes taken care of and the world map fleshed out more, and anything else that was cut due to time constraints.

I loved and now love again Grandia 2.
Grandia 1 was nice, but something in Grandia 2 was better, maybe just Millenia (I love that girl...)
Grandia 3 was also nice, as far as I remember it. Story wasn't that good, but i have seen worse storylines. Most of all in Grandia 3 i liked the improvements in fighting system, and the way how they implemented flying.

The reason why I asked Grandia 3 over Grandia 1 was, that Grandia 3 never found its way to europe and I don't want to flash my PS2 with an NA OS, just for one game.
Grandia 1 and 2 I can play anytime, but for 3 I need to do some tricks, thats why I would like a 3 next^^
