I'm not sure it does respawn (unlike 7D2D), but it would be nice if it did.
It doesn't. Resources are placed on the map at the start of the game/level. Non-resource items are spawned when an object is searched, but each container can only be searched once.
so once you search the entire map your just left to die slowly...
well...
that sucks
This is why it is so important to set your outposts on top of large Resource locations instead of looting them. If you set them as an outpost, you will continually get resources from them day after day instead of getting a lump sum all at once. This will greatly prolong your income of the various resources. Your resource gathering from those outposts increases by factors of two, meaning for every two stacks of a particular resource, your daily income from them increases.

In story mode, you have a story line to complete.
In breakdown, you fix the RV and refresh the map.
In lifeline, you take a ride on the helicopter to escape.

Where are you dying slowly? You can easily spend 30+ hours on a single map, looting all the locations.

As for the outpost resources, each one has a materials requirement. Its 1 material required per outpost. Each outpost can generate 2 of the item you left in a rucksack in the outpost when you created the outpost. So its a good idea to have materials outposts so you can keep the other outposts generating loot.
never it respawn

Nope. With good outpost and base setup, you won't even need to search for supplies anymore. So you can survive endlessly.

All my stockpile(food, ammo, fuel, medicine) increase every day, except construction materials, but I don't need that anyway, since my base is already finished.

How do you choose to play story or dlc or...? is there a place to choose what you're playing or if you own all DLCs, it'll automatically put you in DLCs? I'm confused lol.
The base campaign is trivially easy. It's more like a tutorial for 'Breakdown' mode which has you assemble enough supplies to fix an RV to 'move on' to the next level which increases zombie amount, damage, speed, etc.

There's zero reason to stay on one map for hours and hours unless you're trying to max out certain base improvements to unlock achievements/characters.

And, yes, in the menu you can choose whether or not to play the campaign or the DLC.

Congrats! Good luck on The Sniper. :cgrazz:
Do I have to finish campagin first before I can play DLCs? I'm not sure I seen any of this Kismette. But thanks all, i'll check it out. ;)
You can play any mode you want at any time.
And each mode has its own save games.
The only thing I suggest is getting familiar enough in Story Mode that Breakdown isn't baffling. Think of Story Mode as the world's longest tutorial ;-)
