Can't interact with bed...
Back in 2019, it was lagging, now it's a lot better with no lags, now i can't interact with the bed like before, has the interaction to the bed been removed in order to re-energize? Although, i'm glad to be back. Cheers

I'm not sure why the game would be lagging. That's weird! I have had some slight issues when there are villagers present in the game. I'm planning on optimizing the villager ai in the next update. It sounds like you were having issues when there weren't villagers though. What are your system specs? Processor and ram specifically.
The way compasses work has changed. There is now an air dungeon so the tin compass you start with, points you to that instead.
"Why can't we spawn in our home base with the spawning on the ground like before?" If you pick up the spawn point where you start the game and place it somewhere else the new location should become your spawn point. Are you 100% sure you placed the spawn point at your new base? I often forget to place it down.
It's not impossible to reimplement a spawn point compass. We repurposed the tin compass for the air dungeon and figured that with a spawn potion there really isn't a need to see where your spawn point is. You can brew a spawn potion rather than craft a spawn compass and teleport there immediately.
The spawn works great now in my home base, thank you and keep up the wonderful great works!
I noticed the lag too. It was fine at first then got choppier and choppier until the game was so laggy I looked like I was in the matrix and I had to shut the game down. Maybe it has a memory leak?

My suspicion is that the lag is related to some things that need to be tweaked in the AI. I'll be looking into it before the next release for sure. It's one of the big things on my list of things to polish. I'm hoping to purchase a new computer that I can test on as well. For better or worse my wife and I both have powerful machines. It'd help to have something less powerful. Not to mention having a windows machine. We are both on Macs:/. Thanks for letting me know! One question for you both: When the game lags, have you spawned villagers? Thanks!
Nope. I was just harvesting and crafting. Mostly hunting for food, lol. My machine isn't super powerful but it does the job. It can handle FFXIV and Minecraft with 280+ mods(but not shaders). Windows is cool but the 10 I have is a resource hog.
Im picking up it's a memory leak. Im going to record the game tomorrow to see what is being done when it happens. My system is an I7 ASUS server, and I can run all the following servers at same time without any drag on cpu. ServUO, RO, 7DTD, DST (4 servers) Terraria, SB, and 5 others I cant think of the titles at moment. My graphics card takes most of the abuse when it comes to the game clients. Tile miner runs very well, then the memory leak strikes, and it's a dooser of one too. If only a select few are experiencing this, could be an OS driver issue. Im using windows 10 as well. Reminds me of UO Ishnar, when EA required people to only use the 3d client. The leaks that client had was worse I ever experienced.
How do you get npcs by your home btw? Oh, before I forget, the air dungeon. Not sure if its related to the memory issue, but every time I go kill this inbred looking squidworth on steroids, using bow and arrrow, my game crashes. Doors also dont work on the stone walls. I had to replace them with wood.
Lag spike hit again where I lost all my cotton. Was putting it in chest when spike hit, so saved. And when reloading, discovered it not in chest or inventory.
Edit:
Took a lot to find just 4 cotton. Then saved my game, backed it up, then did my thing to give me 90 million of every item I got so far. I sorta lost my patience after I got the farmer, then discovered I was no longer able to pick what I planted, yet racoons had no such problem. Fence I hope fixes that issue.

This memory leak is something I'm going to definitely take time to address. When I get to this stage I may message you and see if I can enlist your help on this. I'd like to do some more play testing on PC before I do but I'm not having the issue for some reason and it's hard for me to fix until I can recreate it.
How to get NPCs by your home? I'm not sure what you mean. You build a house, place a land plot and the NPC will move in wherever you built it. He then will travel around based on the time of day. He should always head back to bed by nighttime.
The game crash of using arrows on the imp. (I think you're referring to the imp...) I'll look into that. I assume it'll be easy to fix for the final release.

The npcs I discovered are summoned by the same menu used for plots. They die and reset to level 1 because they won't eat nor accept food to eat. Same thing with healing items. They wont accept or use them either, which is a pain for me because finding memory location to give them 900 mil energy was easy. Because I have no clue what is hurting them, makes it harder to locate. I think when Im nearby, monsters are spawning inside the plots and npcs taking damage as they kill them? If this is accurate, Ill let a low level monster attack them just to locate their hp and make a temp fix.
