Devil.... Best thing to spend them on is thusly:

Gems = Save up your gems until you can afford to by the Dragon Armor. That gets you Gold Bonuses, if I remember it rightly. It's either gold bonus or XP bonus. Both are good to have. As well, after getting Dragon Armor, save up to get Celestial Armor as that has Souls bonus, which helps you rack up the souls in explores and such. Best place to use the Dragon Armor is PVP. Best places for the Celestial Armor are Explores and Arena.

Glory = Each week the devs put out a Glory Pack. Click on the "Store", the last button along the line. Look for the tab that says something along the lines of "Glory Pack" or "Glory Bundle" or Glory some such. I can't remember the exact name off the top of my tired brain, but your best bet is to save up your glory for those cause you get a good troop + Gold + Gold & Glory Keys + Traitstones featured for that week.

Gold = The only BEST way to spend the gold is on your Kilngdom upgrades from Level 1 to Level 10. Make sure you unlock your Kingdoms first though. The more Kingdoms you have unlocked and levelled, the better chance and amount of tribute per hour you get.

Hey,

there are some more things to spend this currencies.
As keensl already said, the first priority is to use all your gold for your kingdoms.

After that there are 3 more options: goldchests, guild, treasure hoard.

This 3 things depend on your progress and playstyle. If you have a active guild, then you should donate all your gold to the guildtasks (only if you maxed all your kingdoms). With the tasks you will receive a lot of resources, also many goldkeys. This means, that you should never buy goldkeys with your gold.

Later you will unlock the Underworld. There you can spend some gold too, to receive way better rewards there. This is dependant on your playstyle. If you are a really active gamer, then you should invest in the underworld. The rewards are very helpful.

For Glory I would also suggest the glorychests. The advantage here is, that you have a chance of mythic troops here. So it's worth to open some weekly and try your luck.

If you are in a guild, then you should pay attention to the events and the shop. On every Raidboss, Tower of Doom and Invasionweek you get a new weapon, which you can buy with gems only. Some weapons may be weak, but for your progress you need a lot of weapons later, so you should buy shop tier 3 in every of this events (you should do the same in the weekly factionevents).

Gems are the resource with the highest value in-game. So you should not waste them for useless things. If you have a good stock, you can open some gemchests. As a beginner you get a high amount of good troops there. But as said, you should prioritize the armor and weapons first :happyleon:

The Sunday ("Luck") dungeon is a good option for spending gems as it gives 80 diamonds, which helps towards getting your pick of a Mythic (next time it comes around in the soulforge).

Glory:
-you buy the weekly Glory card at least once every week.
-If the weekly Glory card offers certain Traitstones you have desperate need of, to trait up cards you use all the time or want to use for delves/pvp/gw, then buy more of the weekly Glory card to get those arcane traitstones [best in weeks where you get 2 with each card].
-each month one new Mythic card will be introduced, which then is available for one week in Glory, Gem & guild chests. You can spend tons of Glory here for a decent chance to get that new Mythic.

Gold:
-Level every Kindom to 10(!)
-tons of gold needed if you want to push Delve-treasure hoard to level 100
-spend for Guild (legendary)tasks

Gems:
-during weekly Invasion/tower/doom stuff, it is sometimes wise to buy shop tiers. Tier 2 for raid/invasion to get the special new card, tier 4 for all to get the new introduced weapon.
-when a new delve-faction is introduced, tier 4 in the shop there has also a new weapon. When the delve factions rotate and appear once a week, you always get another chance to claim weapons you might have missed so far.
-when the new monthly Mythic appears in Gem chests, you can dump a bunch of Gems to buy extra keys there for a chance to get that mythic card.
-every sunday, after you finished the daily 3 dungeons, you should check the offer tab there and maybe buy the gem offer for a bunch of diamonds.

Diamonds:
-just save up 4000 and buy Mythic cards in the Soulforge.
-I would strongly advise against buying legendaries for 800, since it just sets you back from your Mythic savings and you will probably curse yourself if you get the same legendary card the next time you open some chests.

Eventkeys:
-use them if a new legendary is that week in the chests.
-use them, if the eventchest kingdom in that certain week has a good Mythic to offer and that you need.
-or use them for "bad" Mythics in that weeks eventchest, if you do not own him but only miss a few Mythic cards for completion.

If you are completley new, the first best thing to do is: JOIN A ACTIVE GUILD.
Because then you will get a bunch of keys and other stuff every week through the weekly tasks, which really helps you along. You can live of the "free" chests, and save gems/glory. Most guilds also tax not that much gold if you do not have every kingdom on level 10.

If you have already a lot of cards and a guild showering you in weekly stuff, or you are one of the endgame players who only miss certain Mythics, you might wanna save up as much stuff as you can. And when the monthly new Mythic appears, then you use first all your saved gem, glory and guildkeys to open chests. if you are lucky, you get him before you run out and can hoard more for the next time. If you burn your saved keys, now you could use your hoarded Glory or Gems to buy more chests. But maybe not burn through everything if unlucky. Always have some safety stash so you could buy the following week the Glory card(s) or whatever shop tiers for whatever weekly stuff. Either way, burning through the keys that way once a month, will shower you in "normal" cards up to legendary and maybe the specific new Mythic you are after.

This might be an odd newbie question, but when do I buy Guild chests, before or after the weekly reset? The Game Guide talks about buying chests at the end of the week when their value is highest, but then talks about receiving Guild Seals in the mail after the weekly reset.

You need to join the Guild first in order to be able to accumulate and spend them.

Yes, I am in a Guild. I want to know what I can do with the Guild Seals I am getting.
Ghetto Gecko Mar 17, 2019 @ 3:59pm
If you check the guildtab and click on "seals", you will see a total number your whole guild collected over the week. There you see also a list with requirements of how many seals are needed to "upgrade" the guildchests. This means, the more seals collected, the better cards you get out of guildchests. If you have collected 40.000 seals at the end of the week, then you will not get common and rares anymore. So a extremely high chance to get a lot of good stuff. But a high number of seals is often reached at the end of the week, that's why you should wait till this point. I am not sure, how active your guild is, but you should always wait, till you have at least 20.000 seals collected (in best case 40.000 ofc). If you didn't reached this target, then just don't spend the seals and collect them for the next week. You will keep always your seals and they don't expire :)

Thanks for the advice. The guild I'm in seems to be new or at least building and doesn't have enough people to get to 40k seals. I have bought the Guild chests and now understand the system. You do buy 'Guild keys' but they are used up immediately on chests, which I think wasn't clear to me. Now I have a lot of Guardians to work out how to best use.
