So, there's a weird thing going on where the SteamID is being abused by a 3rd party. Basically inflating steam player numbers.

Best bet to find players is to be active in the discord @ chat.toxikk.com

And join in on Friday Frag Fest.

Speaking for myself, what's been stopping me from trying Toxikk out, is the fact that the single player is behind a pay wall. And that's not to bash Reakktor for monetizing their work, which they've done in quite a creative and interesting way. It's just that personally I'd be more likely to pick up a game if the single player were free and the multiplayer cost money than vice versa. And perhaps others feel the same way ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Idk
In addition, the free game does not have the server browser, so basically you don't have the option to control with whom you play in multiplayer either. It's just a bit of a buzzkill.

Compared to other F2P FPS, Toxikk already gets placed much higher in steam's listings and search results.

Does the free-to-play version let you reject servers it suggests to you, and then give you a different server suggestion?

Because if you can, then the free-to-play matchmaking system is effectively the same as a server browser, just presented serially.

Idk, I thought it loaded you into a match, which you'd then have to leave and try again, hoping it loads you into a different one, but I have so far not tried the game out myself. :/

Steam is falling in quality so fast that they haven't bothered promoting anything like this or even putting it in the related/similar games section for years. They just keep pushing the same stuff, Fallout 76, Skyrim, Halo, Battlefield, Call of Duty rather than games that are actually similar to this. If i'm on the store page of a half life mod or an arena shooter it will just keep shoving those same few games in rather than ones that are actually similar like other arena shooters or mods. It's something I started noticing like 3 years ago, around the same time the flood of mobile ports and porn games began. They're no longer interested in promoting or even showing anything that won't make them money. The similar/related games section is filled with games that are far from similar and relevant to the game of the store page you're already on. Basically the only chance these games had to circulate naturally on steam has been crippled and rigged to only show the latest irrelevant AAA titles.

For example, going to the Halo Infinite store page and looking at "Games similar to this" shows me red dead, pubg, skyrim, fallout 76 etc lol i'm sure TOXIKK deserves a spot on that list more than red dead online at least, at least in my opinion. So Halo will never cause someone to find this game, the quake games will never cause someone to find this game, splitgate will never cause someone to find this game so how is anyone new ever going to find it? It used to actually be helpful for finding similar games and keep players circulating around to related games.

I miss the Vehicle Deathmatch-Maps guys! There is tons of Foundation Maps,Servers Bloodlust.Yeah truly I miss Vehicle-FFA.Or a mix of Testlab-Invasion and Vehicle stuff would be awesome.Damn there is technically still so much cool potential in Toxikk.Stuff like a Campain,Story,or somekind of "steampunkish" Mechs,Armor etc.So much potential.............

I may return to mapping for the workshop as a hobby sometime next year. But for now it's not a priority at the moment.

However, if the player numbers stay consistently up & we starting having some more populated Friday Frag Fest nights... :)

It really is sad. Toxikk is one of the best Arena shooters imho but it came out at a time when arena shooters were falling in popularity already. unreal tournament suffered the same fate. while the alpha version of ut4 was promising it still was cancelled in favor of fortnite.
why everyone just wants to play BR now is beyond me. this genre is so boring it makes me want to puke my guts out

Aye but the masses are just blind and playing effing Overwatch,Fortnite or "Raid of Shadow Legends"! TOXIKK is more mature looks a million times better but this is just MY Opinion I guess?
