Original translation vs Sekai Project's

As title says, is the translation better than the original or should I not spend my money on a copy of a VN I already own?

Well considering that the fan translation version of After Story is a complete utter mess, ya.

CLANNAD's old translation has a horrible reputation. There's a reason why SP retranslated it instead of cooperating with the people in charge of its fan TL.

The fan TL was mostly machine translated, especially the later parts of the game. Sekai redid the entire translation of the game.

The anime is good, but the original visual novel is much better.

i think the anime and the visual novels are on par, since both make up what the other lacked. the VN has a few sequences that didn't really work, while the anime condenses and omits some things.

Um, no, idk what you guys are smoking but the anime is NOT better than the vn. At all. The anime isn't that good of an adaptation, to the point where almost everyone that just watches the anime thinks the ending is some kind of asspull. And let's not forget the anime treating Ryou like a side character instead of a main heoine, and COMPLETELY LEAVING OUT A CHARACTER!
