Negative Reviews All Miss the Point
I'm glad the devs are still working on this game and it's been super fun to hop in and play once and a while, but I went to the store page and it was bizarre to see people hating on the game for absolutely no reason.

From a standpoint of mechanics and gameplay, sure its a little stiff but not game breaking. The main complaint was that "There is nothing to do" or "Game is unfinished", in which quite literally the game captures much of what the old Minecraft did for me. It was the terrain, the open unknown, the vast nothing, the lonely but surreal comfortable feeling you get when playing. The exploration and the slow pace, breeze in your hair kind of feeling makes this game great.

If you don't like it that's fine, but it's not supposed to be a cut and paste Minecraft clone or some hardcore sweaty survival game like Rust.

I hope the game keeps the same themes throughout its development so we have a unique game and not some copy paste slop.

Haters will always hate, I've discovered they seem to be on a mission to potshot games like this and even rare games because it doesn't fit what they call 'a good game' but if the game sits at very positive then what do they matter?
People are entitled to their opinions and I've laid my share of negative reviews out there when I felt the game just didn't deliver enough. A game that makes you think is, unfortunately, not going to be very popular. RW is unique and I wish Red had dressed up the page a bit more with something other than a simple tree line. It doesn't showcase his world creator off enough to grab people's attention, or hint at the possibilities of the construction system. It's got some great screenshots on it but you have to go looking for those.

I agree that they're missing the point of the game. So hopefully they'll come here and learn a bit more and eventually change their reviews.
Some folks do it for a reaction. Someone said that leaving a negative review on Steam is more comical than kicking a chicken coop. All ya gotta do is give one little tap, and you have all the little chickens running everywhere; feathers flying, angrily squawking. Sounds pretty immature to me, but I guess some folks have nothing to do than try to sew seeds of dissension.
i made a post about this before. a lot of people are just so used to AAA games and being told what to do in in what order and how to do it that they simply lack the creativity to appreciate a game about freedom like this one. says way more about them than the game, imo.
