Steam Deck Support?

I don’t see the banner that displays if this game is verified or playable on Steam Deck. Any idea?

From what I have read about steam deck support, if it is not on there, it has not been tested. I think a lot of it for KOTOR is how its videos are formatted. Some games like Persona 4 cannot be ran on the deck because the videos use a coding that the Linux system cannot recognize. Some people have ran untested games on the deck with no issue so at thins time it will probably be a trial and error situation.

can confirm that its do-able on steamdeck.
however you need to edit the kotor gamepad controlls both in steam and ingame.

Apparently it is now marked as unsupported. I haven't played that much so there could be broken stuff during gameplay. I wish they would make a small patch since the game is now available on switch and phones though they are just ports of a buggy game

Currently about 10 hours in on the steam deck and have only an issue with the screen blacking out during the swoop bike race. Everything else has been great. Using a community controller config, and it has been awesome.

If you're okay playing with the touch pad as a "keyboard and mouse" setup, it technically works. However, controller support is awful and I've tried a lot of community control setups and they all feel wonky. The PC version just isn't updated in 2022 to support a controller, unfortunately, so you're better off playing this one on a Switch, oddly enough.

With that said, I have been playing KOTOR II on Steam Deck and it runs great with full controller support and the correct widescreen resolution!

Steam Deck is basically a Linux operating system... and there are lots of reviews from people saying it works great on their Linux PCs on ProtonDB:

So I would guess it would work on Steam Deck based on that, but idk. I'd rather play it on a PC anyway for immersion from a big monitor but whatever.

I modded the game, including the community patch and the game runs widescreen now, I used this guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2836753578
However the resolution minimum for widescreen is 1440x900

Did you install all these mods on the Steam Deck and how has your experience been so far? I'm a new Deck owner and wondering about going through this game again optimized if able.

I made a folder on my pc and moved that to deck and wrote over all dupticates, It launches but I haven't played much

14 hours in running perfectly up to me leaving dantoine to go to first planet the movie will play then I’m stuck on a loading screen idk what to do I’ve tried everything please help yavin works but no other planet does
