As for what benefits GoG offers, best to get in touch with them over their site and speak with them directly (if you did not already did this back in June this year).
I really hope there will be a GoG version, as like the drm-free model from GoG more than steam.
Keep up the good work.
You've been given incorrect information in the response to this question. You can in fact distribute GOG keys through the humble store. The Witcher, for example, is only redeemable on GOG when purchased from the Humble Store.
GoG offer a lot of help bringing Games to GoG.
But for that you need to get in Contact with GoG. ;)
And yeah, of course you can decide which key (Steam or GoG or both) will be available on the Humble Store.
I think it would be good to have a GoG release of Vagante, because it brings the game to a wider Audience.
I, for one, try to buy all my games on GoG (and when a Game i want is available on GoG i don't even wait for a Sale but buy it full price to support a Developer who brings games drm free to us).
I'll await full release then and hope the best for a GoG release.
Also - its always better to dont stick with just one title, if possible. Its not only action-rpg-rogue-lite-spelunky-wannabe-platformer, so - just grab bunch of them into wishlist and keep waiting. It will decrease your negative, if something will go wrong and this certain title wont be released outside of steam, coz of stuff
So, as Vagante now is finally released, any news on this topic?
Will there be a GoG Version sometimes in the future?
Updating the DRM free Humble Store version would be fine too.
Really hope there will be a GoG version.
humble store is not a platform for drmfree games. The drm free games there most of them do not get updates.
gog however is reputable for providing it and the latest version with a few days delay from steam.
+1 to gog release.
