I've said it once, I'll say it again... This game is done for, dead as the dinosaurs that combat in it
Honestly as much as i love that idea, i know he's going straight for that rex penis and making it even more overpowred. This games balance issues are already extremely annoying and game breaking. And bringing an already toxic community back into this one is just going to make it more of a cancerous wasteland, except instead of script kiddies DoS'ing your server, you'll now have 35 year old furfags ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about you killing them while they were yiffing.
This games final death is pretty inevitable, but it seems like the last 2 devs just want to make the last amount of profit they can from this train wreck. I don't blame them that much, to be honest making money and cutting ties at the same time seems like a win - win.
Also, continuing off of the rumors for today, and if they're correct; if isle doesn't get its ♥♥♥♥ together and release a full game by 2020, steam is going to take it down.
Which means Dondi buying Pc:e is just him showing he has no faith in his own game and making sure that when he jumps ship, he has a backup. To be honest, Isle is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ anyway with Path coming out sometime this year or next year and already having more gameplay mechanics.
Who knows what will happen, maybe it will pull a no mans sky and make us all look like twitter feminists. Who knows, really.
What's for sure is that the memes from the ♥♥♥♥ storm are going to be great.

It's actually kind of sad. I remember the days when I was excited for this game. When the Commando was actually GOOD at something and the Pterasaurs had the stamina to function correctly. Having no limit on rex classes? That was actually a fun and good thing! It meant that little kids couldn't tank hog and that teams could use all the classes they needed when they needed them, yes it was annoying when they could be an acro in a 1v1 match but at the very least there were consequences for playing the wrong dinosaur at the wrong time... Now it's just a mess of faulty choices, all because the developers listened to CHILDREN instead of the target demographic, this is why JWE is doing so well... Because the Developers listen to the fans.
And I hope the rumors of Dondi purchasing the rights to this game are false
but all the same, as far as we know it's still just wraiyth as dev so i'm not sure what's to be expected. falling into the same pit of inactivity and no communication that we were in prior to the announcement is inevitable.
2. Ceratosaurus was not "promised", there was no vow the developers made to put it in the game regardless of the cost.
3. I'm pretty sure PC:O had different funding and iirc was different developers(?)
4. At present there are very few developers, up until recently it seems there was just one, so it would be impossible for them to come straight back with a massive content update. Perhaps if things go well with these improvements getting the game back to a somewhat stable state with less bugs, then more content can be added.
Since the last update, humans feel not right when i play them :/ i hope they buff human at least
Just something I've heard, and something I wan't people to be aware of.
Same, the old commando was perfect. It had power, efficiency, and a decent sized ammo clip. But ignorant little kids kept whining that it was "op" when really, The other classes were just buggy and glitchy in comparison. But they wouldn't know that because they refuse to play as anything else but a dinosaur. That was even stated back on the forums, but the whiners just didn't care
With regards to the announcement of an update for PCE being in the works, the thought behind that was to be realistic with what is possible and hopefully not over-promise and end up under-delivering. You're not going to get any new classes, we're not making any new modes or weapons or anything crazy. We're taking what is here and giving it a good polish up, something that's been needed for a while when there are existing game modes that are only supported on a single map or which don't work at all. Things such as the challenges and ranking system have had major issues for the longest time as well. And then there's the state the human team is in.
We're hoping to spin up the Open Testing group again when closer to release to fine tune some of the balancing problems, anyone interested in participating should keep an eye on the official discord. Things were actually looking much improved during the last session we held way back when, but unfortunately real life stepped in and changes made for that build were unable to be released. We'll be making sure those problems are resolved (such as poor damage / accuracy scaling on weapons) and fixing as many others as possible in the run up to the next update.

I'm not part of the discord group (actually had no idea there even was one), so if there were any devs talking with people in there about the delays in updates it wasn't really well known.
Honestly, communicating with us more and just being frank is probably the best thing to do.
Sorry to act like a bit of a ♥♥♥♥ in my first post, made the wrong assumption.
It's nice to see that some devs still care about this game, and that the rumors were just rumors for the time being. To your credit, a lot of us have grown pretty bitter from certain things so it was inevitable for a lot of us to jump the gun and assume this was going to be the great meme scheme.
Something that should be really, really looked into is the server DoS'ing problem.
It's become a rather large problem that of recently made me and a few friends stop playing.
